There are some cdramas that are short like 15-24 episodes. I personally like them long. I guess it's because they make more money that way. There used to be some dramas of 90 episodes way back in 2015 or so...those were the great hits like The story of Yanxi Palace: 72 episodes, etc. Then the Chinese government intervened and put a restriction that any dramas that are more than 40 episodes, the'd need to split into 2 seasons and can only be broadcasted after a year of each other.

I didn't believe in the beginning about black marketing in China but now i do. There's a black marketing going on against Xu Kai on youtube, talking bad things about his acting. The title is very misleading having pictures of Xu Kai and Seven Tan to attract viewing. The channel name is PVT Express News. It's machine translated because it's calling Xu Kai Hua Kei or some other mispelled names of Xu Kai throughout the duration of that Xu Kai slandering clip. They probably want to neutralize Xu Kai's coming from a very popular drama and he's now on a variety show. It's so maddening 😤
