Xu Kai was born on the year of the pig, hence the reference to him as a pig for some other dramas as well; the directors/writers just mapped it to his real born year, that's all.

@blueman: yes, you're missing something. You're forwarding too much :D. No, the ML will not try to get the hotel back. He respect and accepted his grandma's wish to leave the FL tge hotel. So, from there on, he will help the FL to get the hotel out of trouble. He said Shanghai has lots of other hotels that can be targeted instead.

Best Choice Ever is the title of the drama. It is not however a direct translation of the drama name in Chinese. I thought in Chinese, the meaning is like the diary of Cheng Huan or dairy of Filial maybe.

Yes, there are praises, they say, he has very little screen time but that he looks very handsome, and westernized which suits to his character. His dubbing has improved so they say. And like what you told us, someone said he has hong kong accent

Episode 12 when he fell ill and the FL took him to the hospital and took care of him...to me anyway. Howeve3, someone in this forum posted that in the novel, it was like in ep 5 or so, when she got demoted to be a janitor of the rentals and he asked her to go into his apartment to change his light bulb

I agree with you. It was too sloppe sided. It should have had the money at the very least divided equally among the 2 grandchildren. Her son is still in prison and alive.

@bluecandy: thank you for the indexes. It looks like this drama is doing very well in China. A couple of observations: #1 I think Xu Kai for the first time ever since hes been a lead in a drama, that his character heat index trails his counterpart FL's. #2 Considering the soooo little screen time for Xu Kai's character in this drama, yet he only trailed 7% from the FL's character... that's a very good result for Xu Kai. Normally, Xu Kai's character has been like > 20% or more than his FL's character. Also, Xu Kai's character given so little screen time, he managed to be the #4 of the top of all dramas at the moment, just behind ZYL from the Legend of Shenli, I think Xu Kai did a very job so far! Anyways, congratulations to everybody who made BCE such a hood drama!

Be patient, the ML's scenes should increase in the next few episodes because there will be a turn...the ML will be like adopted by the FL's family so they should be spending much time together.
