I’m a little confused with the timeline unless I missed it somehow but Prince Xin’s wife/consort passed away 3yrs ago. Her soul swapped bodies but did the Princess fall into the sea years after her passing? Or did it happen the same day and it took the Princess 3yrs to get to the capital?

I literally waited for the official episodes after seeing fanmade edits/clips all over the web only for the scene to be cut in both IQIYI & WeTV version 😭😩 fans were robbed. I just started episode 25 and have been trying to drag out the drama to prevent the dreadful waiting in between but was or is there a full backstory on her Aunt and his Uncle? Did I miss it?
I wanted to get into this so badly but I just couldn’t. I had to drop it because the sibling aspect (even though they’re not biological and idk he was formally adopted either?) weirded me out 🫠 While I think the pairing is good and I am a fan of the ML as an actor, I also couldn’t overcome Esther’s voice. I feel like it hasn’t matured since I first watched her in Find Yourself from 2020 🥲

It’s not that she married into royalty. Did you miss the part that the Emperor only became Emperor because he and Marquis Murong BUILT the era? He was technically no higher than a civilian who joined the army. So how can you say that she was naive when she married a regular or normal or same class (however you want to put it) person? No one goes into anything with knowing everything so yes, there will be assumption. Human beings assume all the time. She took the real life judgement that her husband was turning into a bad person and she didn’t want that influence for her children. And that’s called feminism?

As a mother, she wants to protect her children because she saw her own husband change to the worst possible person because of power and authority. She didn’t want that for her children. If you found out your father abetted to having your mother killed, would you not be in shock? That’s the purpose of the ML’s emotions. The FL stepped to prevent him from making a mistake because god forbid emotions makes human do inhuman things.
If the writer fails male characters, there's barely any repercussion but if suddenly when there’s female characters that are too strong in character, its feminist.

The king is an idiot, the sister is an idiot and the medicine girl is also an idiot. These side characters who supports the plot but gosh, my blood is boiling at how annoying they are constructed in the plot. The king doesn’t know how to protect his own family yet he’s trying to protect the entire empire at minimal efforts. The sister is a dumb nut who doesn’t understand the bigger picture and her brother’s endless sacrifice to constantly protect her. I would disown the both of them. And the medicine girl interjects her personal opinion when she also doesn’t understand the politics of the nation. She lives blindly in a non-meddling environment and forces a friendship with the female lead just because she’s treating her injuries. She imposes in her business and personal affairs like girl mind your own business and just be a doctor.
