As a viewer, the first episode can be enough to draw one into the drama and get a sense of the character hence why I said I’m hoping there’s character development with the female character. Everyone has different perception and it can happen after just one episode. For example, I was drawn in completely when I watched The Double and Blossom. So no, I don’t think I jumped to conclusions. But you have your opinion and I have mine. Neither is right or wrong, just our own way of thinking.
I just started the drama as I wanted to wait for more episodes to come out to binge watch it.
Just on the 1st episode and I’m not feeling the female character. The actress is great! But her character is a know-at-all right off the bat and it’s annoying. She’s smart enough to be reasonable but she’s not using her intelligence correctly and jumps to conclusions here and there. There’s no humbleness to her character, just that things needs to be HER way.

One of my favourite scenes is when SongMo apprehended Prince Qing but when he tried to sneak attack SongMo, DouZhao saved him.
SongMo taught her how to use a gun for self-protection. She missed when she was trying to protect herself from the bandits. But when his life is on the line, her aim was steady, her love was unyielding and she did not miss.

I’ve rewatched The Double at least 4 times already and now I have Blossom to rewatch again because I don’t think I’ll be able to move on. My personal opinion is that it’s rare to have dramas like The Double & Blossom. The story of a smart FL and a fearless ML who are very much equal to each other. Intelligent, courageous and humble. They remain loyal to themselves as well as to each other. They protected each other in silence but also supported each other in loudness. Bravo to the screenwriters and the directors for casting such wonderful people because I cannot picture anyone else as SongMo & DouZhao. I’ve always loved both LiYunRui & Meng YiZi but this drama has definitely put them in a special place in my heart.
I don’t understand some of the comments that you make. You were supportive until there wasn’t a proper kiss scene like why are you so petty when the genre of the drama is about revenge and injustice?
No drama is perfect, there will be flaws but you’re so stuck up on romance when that’s not the projection of this drama.
Your focus is on a kiss scene that you’re not appreciating the entire drama and story itself. If you want a kiss scene so much, go watch a different drama. Just goes to show how great of actors this cast is! From their versatility and emotional/performance deliverance, hats off to them all!! The plot doesn’t always make sense but the wide range of acting has been amazing ♥️
