I m on episode 21 n I m still unable to warm up to the female lead character. Actually it's very hard to bear…
The patriarchy wins when strong female leads are criticized for being 'mean' while men are making and watching harem shows where the women are just se*x toys
anyone help tell me , how high and power of Wei Family , that normally a man choose girl to be wife but this drama…
It's actually lowkey a hostage situation, her family is too strong so much so that the beloved daughter needs to form a marriage alliance wit the imperial family to keep the family in check, Obv they won't stage a rebellion if their daughter is in the palace and the empress

Another aspect- the novel is heavily plot centric focusing on politics and war strategy ft. A female lead at the forefront at it all, she's the one in charge and for much of the novel she remains so and the ML is under her, there are times where he doens't appear for chapters and chapters
I understand this is a drama so they have to change some things but i won't like it if they dim her characters light so that it fits a standard cdrama template
I don't like the fact that they made the ML invisible in the last 3 episodes. ML had a minimal to none presence…
Um get the f out of your male centered patriarchy, maybe go watch those dramas where the female characters are nothing more than flower pot ornaments with no personality.

Is the fl a doormat? Does the ml betray/cheat her?
