A rare fresh concept in an otherwise childish drama... An actual cold female lead who seems to be really hard to get. As of now she genuinely doesn't have feelings of love for the male lead, not any man. I want more fls like her idly I prefer cold beauties who then melt later on
I can't seem to point my finger on it but SMTH about this drama feels soooo juvenile. It's not boring, which is good but it's so clearly outlandish/messy/all over the place more so than other idol dramas. It's like if a 15 yo wanted to write a show with strong evil powerful leads and a Mary Sue protagonist, supposedly "dark and edgy" yet extremely convenient and unintentionally hilarious.
omggg so excited for this, finally a drama where the FL is actually morally grey and not a white lotus, this is basically if Princess Wanning from double was redeemable then you'll have this fl( the novel is so good)
please give me a spoiler, for those who are okay or happy with her ending up with the emperor, how was that groundwork…
simple answer- dont see this as romance, take this as a story about a strong woman! I approach shows with different minds based on what i want from them- p0rn(romance) or plot(good engaging storyline). What he did would be extremely unacceptable if i took this as a romance but i took this as a strong woman's journey to revenge and the ml is quite acceptable

They choose plot focused female centric novels and then them into basic romance idky
It's the woman's story, and the man is just a part of it, a big one but still, it's not "their" story it's hers! We already have enough male centric stories, why do female centric stories also turn into stories where the man is highlighted
Ep 1 thoughts- yan comes across as an overall better character and ML compared to the actual ml. He has an intriguing emotional storyline and someone you actually root for. The ML comes across as the typical cold holier than thou archetype which I dont like. Yan and the fl gives better chemistry as well and i am loving their dynamic.
