First Impression: Blue Boys
Overall: was impressed by this indie production's first 8 minute episode. Airing on SUKFILM YouTube channel https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLYfaogVGCvwTczUW4K1YELu_cWQfUQ21a&si=XHU_5KTTd0CELjmS
What I Liked
- tension/chemistry
- indirect way at first to say he didn't have money, used context clues instead of exposition dumps
- the production increased episode count from 2 to 4 based on positive feedback about the series
Room For Improvement
- a text message wasn't translated
- didn't love that they were doing something before what happened at the end
- $10USD seems a bit high for 1 month of channel membership (so far to see 1 uncut scene that is 2 and half minutes long)
- this is obviously an indie production, but I think they could have collaborated with a coffee shop to get a free location in exchange for naming them as a sponsor/publicity
