Overall: murder mystery plot with fantastic chemistry. Aired on GagaOOLala https://www.gagaoolala.com/en/videos/7918/the-prosecutors-proposal-2026-e01 (not available in: Japan, Korea, Americas, Brazil, Angola, Guinea-Bissau, Cape Verde Islands, Mozambique, Sao Tome and Principe, Macau, Timor-Leste, Spain, Portugal, United Kingdom and Oceania) and iQIYI https://www.iq.com/play/a-proposal-in-the-prosecutor-s-office-episode-1-18yruwo0ctw
Content Warnings: past (murders, manipulation, bullying, suicides, child abuse); current (murders, blood, *dub con sex, manipulation, bullying, choking, non con kissing, attempted murder)
What I Liked
- unique premise
- tension
- their intimacy with realistic sounds was amazing
- a character was intelligent and stood up to his uncle
Room For Improvement
- continuity error in episode 1
- ai in the intro
- some voice overs
- nonsense with a major injury he was quickly out of the hospital and then back to work, he could have easily pushed her so this felt like "because the writers said so" and then a second similar injury
- it needed a bit more screen time to more fully flesh out the plot and chemistry
- one character needed a little more agency
- *the prosecutor purposefully got him drunk though there was the magical 'seemed completely drunk and a few minutes later was sober enough to be an active participant', I wish the writers would have flip flopped that and the later time so when he crossed the threshold that was their first time instead
