I did not watch nor read any trailers and synopsis of this drama. I saw Ryan Ding on the cast, I watch. I was watching Romance of Tiger and Rose but since I noticed that it hadn't ended yet, I decided to look for another Ryan Ding's drama and so I bumped into Intense Love. I prefer dramas that are really light. fluffy, and feel-good dramas. Intense Love fits all the categories. These kinds of dramas always have the same plots and the same happy ending. They will make you fall in love and make you realize that until now you are still single (lol). That is what they always make me feel. So, if you are looking for something light and easy to watch drama, try Intense Love.
Acting: Both leads are very experienced in their fields so not questions into their acting. Their voices were dubbed, just a heads up but I promise you I only found out that their voices were dubbed when I am done watching the drama. So, I was really mind blown on that part. You might find some cringe moments especially on Zhang Yu Xi 's (FL) acting. I don't want to spoil it, but I literally have to wince when she acts cute. It's not annoying though. FL is an actress, so she tends to act cute in front of ML. Ryan Ding's character is slow to warm so he has this cold emotion at first, but it won't last long. There are some supporting casts that are fairly new into the acting game. They are fine, not much to worry about. The second leads are pretty good too. You might find the second male lead familiar. He was in Love Equations and I tell you what he has the same character; a conceited, vain, narcissistic person just a little subtle than his character on Love Equation. Other heads up, you might find ML's sister annoying. Well, she is, but I notice her character development and it goes with her hairstyle. Nothing much to complain about their acting though, that’s my personal opinion.
Story: As I said, this drama is pretty cliché. Both characters are rich and balling so there will be no money issues. The leads were set for an arranged marriage by their moms and both families agreed to these terms so there are no issues between the in-laws. It is just up to the leads on how their relationship will start. The story is amazingly fast-paced. I was exclaiming the whole time when I was watching it that everything went by way too fast. It’s not draggy and boring. The only thing I almost skip was the second lead’s love story. Bearable but also skippable so it’s really up to the viewer if you want to watch it or not. ML’s sister is a sasaeng. I must put it out there but there will be a character development on this one so just watch out for it. I like how everything went by smoothly between the leads, and side issues were resolved smoothly. I just thought that the last few episodes had scenes that were missing. Overall, it is not banal if you are a fan of fluffy dramas. Plus, it is just 24 episodes which are just perfect for this genre.
MUSIC/OST: Usually for this genre, the leads had to sing the OST but apparently on this one they did not. I like the songs, I have it on repeat especially the intro song. One of the singers was Monkey and I find her voice very soothing. I like it.
Kissing Scenes: They are both very experienced in their fields that is why kissing scenes are not disappointing on this one. Starting from Episode 10 (got to time stamp it if you are watching it on YT 33:43 to 35:20) through Episode 11 is probably my favorite episode.
Rewatch Value: 100% definitely. This is probably one of those dramas where if I don’t know what to watch, I will go back to this one. Another Love O2O kind of feeling.
