Read the synopsis again, pls, this is kdrama, not alabama ๐ They are not at all related, have different sets of parents. FL'.s estranged father just ran away and married his mistress (ML's toxic mother) a decade or so ago. Thus they also had never met each other before the start of the drama. It is all well explained in the first eps tho
the episode rating does influence the overall rating tho, especially in the beginning airing phase of the show, or when done in mass. Have seen it happening with AoS stans who organized to mass-rate episodes to bring up the shows rating.
(which goes to show that ratings are not to be trusted as they are a terrible measurement for quality in general with being so very dictated by popularity)
Petition for people to stop talking about his new girlfriend as though she is a way older, decrepit ahjumma. Especially since they actually are only four/five yrs apart, and she is being just 32 yrs old in general. It is... hella weird, tbh.
So damn true. This drama is overated imo. People make it a BIG fat interesting drama but the real thing is that…
that is truly the best you can do regarding MDL, tbh, since the ratings here are inflated and just a popularity contest by now. Thus they are the worst measurement for quality.
lemme guess... Shin Jae Ha is the unassuming nice guy here who turns out to be the titular villain? Nobody would see this coming, honestly. It would be a complete surprising and shocking plot twist ๐คฃ๐
Why is Shin Jae Ha playing shady characters lately? First in Crash Course in Romance, now Taxi Driver 2 and his…
You forgot to mention Welcome 2 Life there btw ๐คญ(where he played a serial killer with a hammer๐ )
Idk, maybe he wants to get away from/avoid a romcom, soft flower boy image he easily could fall into given his looks, and also broaden his range. Or maybe he just enjoys playing psychopath roles, since that type of character gives an actor often more opportunities to "go all out" in a scene, heh.
Fact is tho, i will never trust him/his character in a show again. Hell by now i would even suspect him of being shady when he would star in the most harmless romcom hahahaha. (Are there actually works where he plays and STAYS the nice dude btw? I only have seen him in super-shady roles thus far tbh)
As much i love me my romance in kdramas, this drama works really better without it. It is super-fun to watch with…
They have an easy (as in comfortable) friendship and they obviously care for each other. They exchange teasing/humorous banter on missions you *could* read as flirting (if you squint) but to me it feels they share a sibling-like family bond, not a romantic one.
As much i love me my romance in kdramas, this drama works really better without it. It is super-fun to watch with its found family dynamic and satisfying often batshit crazy ways how they punish the baddies, tho,
Oh my gosh, thank you so much for your amusing (and on point, I'm sure) thoughts on this show. You hit my pet…
oh you are welcome haha. Yeah it is a habit i had too, so i basically hate-watched it till the bitter end and hating myself for it lol. I got at least a bit better now in dropping shows by now, but yeah. Your time is much better spent elsewhere indeed.
I also turned this comment into a review, so it may help someone else to avoid time wasting once my ragepost about my time-waste on it here gets fully buried in time, haha
Not a fan of how the ML got introduced very grey I'll wait for more eps & see.Huge fan of the actor super talented…
First time seeing this actor too as his prior works have not interested me (yet) but i really like what he is doing here thus far. He kinda reminds me a little of Ryu Joon Yeol with his look and (deep, deep) voice, heh.
Him playing a morally grey character is kinda the point, or rather his upcoming character development from it is. After all, characters have to start off somewhere and that somewhere is sometimes morally questionable lol. Can't wait for him maturing out of that, little by little tho :)

Even the team members (led by Je Hoon ๐) said during an interview that they wanted a Season 3! I think that…
yeah i feel that episodic format of the show is perfectly suited for more than one, or rather now, two seasons. As long the cases are interesting and they focus on their undercover team one brain cell and their insane(ly) amusing ways to infiltrate and punish the bad guys (especially jehoon and his often dorky personas get me rolling, lmao) why not? I like how they structured this season with each case taking two eps to solve, and being fully the focus of the drama, instead just one of many. And with SK's (often) questionable juridical system there is certainly enough material to fictionalize team taxi's revenge in cases. Maybe we get an evil law firm as big bad then next time, a la Vincenzo haha.
Probably the best drama of 2023 so far and itโll be hard for future dramas to live up to this level of quality.…
Finished A Piece Of Mind 2 days ago and despite some minor annoyances with some characters decisions/actions and how fantasy - like and utopian/stupid this whole AI thing was, i enjoyed the overall warmth and themes of moving on/healing in the drama. I loved the leads and their warmth and care for each other. It reminded me a lot on CIL in general with its complete focus on its characters and slow burn of story/relationships.
(which goes to show that ratings are not to be trusted as they are a terrible measurement for quality in general with being so very dictated by popularity)
Congratz to the new couple, tho.
And happy cakeday too.

oh, and i found a very recent article about him where he talks about it, if you are interested:
