Wow, this makes sense. If they had a bigger budget, they could follow this more closely. But considering the obvious limited resources and episodes, I think they did a decent job. The actors are still great to me, and I love both leads.

My gosh chinese actresses are really naturally pretty. the scene where ye lis’ mom, Empress dowager and consort were talking, they all look like godesses.

After watching the previews I think there’s still a lot of things to unravel and obviously ye li is not done with her revenge.

I also feel like the child emperor is not capable of ruling without his mother. And MJL is now too corrupted by the dark side to be a good candidate for the throne. Although just to avenge his family and for what he became, I do wish the empress will suffer in his hands.

For novel readers, just out of curiosity, who became emperor in the end?

If you enjoy this drama, dont let the ratings get to you. You must remember that people have different preferences and that’s okay. Even if this gets the lowest rating, for me it’s still one of the best. 😉 my point is for this masterpiece, rating doesn’t matter.

Watch it, this drama can’t be explained properly. You need to see it to appreciate it.. for someone who finds this kind of drama boring, I am totally hooked. I hope you’ll enjoy the ride as much as most of us did.

This is Bai Lu's best drama to date. In her previous works, she often portrayed tomboyish, loud, and strong characters, usually leaning toward comedy. However, in this series, she shows us that she can be calm, strong, and feminine. We feel her happiness when she’s joyful and share her pain when she’s upset.

This is also Ryan Cheng’s first drama that truly showcases his range as an actor. He’s been pouring his heart out, and his portrayal of pain feels genuinely authentic.

I never expected to enjoy Moli, but it turned out to be much better than I imagined. I believe this kind of drama rewards multiple viewings, as you catch new details and clues each time. Kudos to both the director and screenwriters for a job well done.
