A prime minister has many issues to deal with. But, this PM seems to linger around the palace every hour. A PM…
My thoughts exactly! Lol! They made him seem like a royal secretary. Like all these scandals, I don’t think he should handle this personally. I’m sure there should be a team responsible for those.
The way he was trying to meddle in their affairs even in the middle of the night was funny. And it was amusing when the grand prince and princess were sitting across from him in his office. It’s like a father reprimanding his children.
Like isn’t there anything more important to do in that country?! Maybe it was a peaceful version of Korea.
If he releases the official verdict of the late king all their problems will be solved. He can protect them all. His nephew isn’t even happy being king. I bet it’s better for him to just be a kid first. I don’t understand what’s holding him back at this point. And all this time being reagent and bidding his time, he haven’t made any connections apart from his secretary?!
Anyway, I need to remind my self that this is a romcom and should not expect a deep plot from this. Ughhh this episode is such a downer.
My main suspect is the PM, and he’ll be the main villain. After the palace investigation he got hold of the marriage contract and the verdict of the late king as well.
But there could a plot twist. It could be Ian himself that leaked it. It’s all part of his plan to bring order to the monarchy and he’s working with the PM.
Maybe it’s just me, but after watching ep 7 and 8 I have this feeling that the PM will be the main villain. I really hope I’m wrong.
Btw, it’s funny how drop dead gorgeous are the queen mother and the PM in the royal wedding. I can’t completely hate them, their pretty privilege is ooozing. Lol
Second male lead and his sister have a special place in hell! Always trying to look pitiful, but with hidden agenda. Using “love” to justify their selfish actions.
I initially thought episode 5 and the start of episode 6 were already the peak because of how well they complemented and understood each other. Plus, they were so sweet at the ball. But then, that ending of episode 6, hit just right! pure 🔥🔥! Funny that It took us all by surprise.
I love how the preview didn’t spoil anything; some K-dramas reveal the best parts in the next episode’s trailer, but this one keeps us on our toes! I’m also really enjoying the epilogues. Now I feel like 12 episodes are just too short for this!
The prime minister and the queen are absolutely gorgeous. I feel like I should dislike her, and worry about what damage he might cause in the future, but I just can’t help it...
Here’s my theory: I think the brother left a will (not the one burned by the queen) stating the grand prince should be king. Ian might be holding back because he loves his nephew. I wanted him to become king, but since this is a rom-com, he might even give that up for his adorable nephew and his new love.
I finished this while waiting for the episodes of the perfect crown.
This has potential in early episodes but was ruined because of how they dragged the mystery of the accident and memory loss. A lot of fillers also in the middle episodes, and rushed ending.
I think this will have a higher rating they just made this into a movie. Overall, a waste of good actors and no rewatch value.
Finally, a truly fun K-drama! I'm completely hooked on this couple and love how their personalities perfectly complement each other. It's such an enjoyable watch. I hope the prime minister doesn't turn evil, I’ve been liking him so far. The side characters add even more entertainment. Let’s savor this while it lasts, because it’s so rare to find a K-drama this captivating these days.
Ughhh is miles wei the second ML in this? He’s so gorgeous. They better make him evil or I might ship her with dilraba. I was already enjoying the ML and FL tandem, but then he suddenly appeared..😫😆
Same! I've rewatched it for so many times. This is honestly one of the few political dramas where the power struggles…
I couldn't have summed up their relationship more perfectly! The constant push and pull drove XW crazy, until he simply couldn't handle it anymore. That tension made their eventual union all the more powerful. I also loved their conversations, they added so much depth. And you’re totally right! falling in love with someone at their worst is a rare, and beautiful thing in dramas.
Well, the romance with red flag ML disgusts me, but the way you described the female lead makes it very appealing…
Yes give it a try, you will like it. FL is also a red flag. So they’re like two peas in a pod. Once you learn the back story of the ML, you will understand his reason for revenge and why he became crazy. I became a fan of ZLH because of this. Bailu is also really good in this role. She doesn’t act cutesy. She was the empress after all.😉
