u misunderstand. erm so by standard chinese past law crownprince is usually the first son of the empress (in the very long ago time) until much further in the future (STILLvery long time ago) they change the law, u can read chinese history anywhere online by the way.

Oh and i say the previous emperor was bad becuase the drama LLTG itself describe the previous emperor was bad LOL (not that i know). but they mention him being worst than the crown prince sooo...

also before the empress die she did say that the emperor did not want this place at first is the scenario that time caused him to stand up and take the throne.

yup he will very late in the show (i sometimes think is quite stupid for firstborn of empress to always entitled the title well its the past)

but also dont forget her majesty is like a mother to her. more than her own mother, (what she felt at the time) she found motherly love with the empress which she felt she didn't know for a really long time

actually the emperor is doing alright, i mean he just cant go around patrolling (the court staff had to work and he is like the judge, judge dont go around to investigate haha) and he took this place because the previous emperor was worst than him so he had to take the role. and the crown prince depends on drama on changing crown prince rule this "drama" LLTG timeline is very strict in empress first born son as crown price.
but yeah the crown prince is really BAD at his job the general already teaching him and he still can tolerate all the mistake and wrongdoing of the all the evil n bad court staff. LIKE HELLO LOSING THE TIGER PIECE TO CONTROL THE ARMY EXCUSE U ?

rewatching it and still my fave witty and family friendly emperor XD

oh yeah. haaha but he really looks like 13-14 yo in the flash back. at least for majority Chinese (minority whose growth spurt is diff haha)
