For @E3Fw...I haven’t watched the drama and probably won’t. I came here, read the synopsis, got disappointed and then saw a comment saying exactly what I wanted to say about this overused trope. As for having a favorite actor, I definitely like Song Weilong more than any of the actors in this drama. I was just ranting about how wrong the word pseudo Incest is
But seeing how you remembered me when I post one comment weeks ago and I wasn’t even bashing...I can't be so obsessive with any actor even if I try
I hate that we’re allowing this writer to re-popularize pseudo incest. He’s a weirdo and this show, speed…
Incest means blood relatives and they’re not related by blood. In most Asian families, blood relation is what actually matters. That’s one of the reasons adoption isn’t viewed the same way here as in the West. A lot of the time, it’s more like helping or sponsoring someone because you feel bad for their situation. That's why calling unrelated people brother, sister, uncle or aunt is completely normal in Asia.
Stop trying to force American standards onto every culture. People already do that enough with beauty standards.
Also, they met as teenagers. They weren’t raised together from childhood as actual siblings or cousins.
Pseudo = false or not actually Incest = sexual relations between closely blood related family members So I don't see the problem. You are the one making it weird
I followed the hype and i am sad to say it did dissapoint. I cannot see in this Drama what so many of you see…
You rated it 8.5, which isn’t bad at all. You also said you followed the hype. If you start something with very high expectations, it’s almost bound to feel disappointing.
Done with this shit.Guys, do me a favor and let me know when our yet another pure virgin ML loses his precious…
Why would we let you know? So you can start another crying session in the comments? I don’t get why, when there are other dramas more suited to your taste, you still come into a different drama’s comment section just to complain. Go watch Filling for Love where the male lead has a bunch of exes and kissing scenes with other women.
This drama has a high rating and gets a lot of praise, I started it two days ago. But the first episode already threw me off. Then more characters kept getting introduced and with every episode I got more uninterested. It kind of has the same vibes as Hierarchy. No character is likeable
Kdramas have gotten so advanced lately. Male lead kissing another woman in the first episode🥴 but wasn’t that basically harassment? If the scene was meant to be funny, I don’t think people would react the same way if the roles were reversed and a man kissed another woman because he was anxious about his marriage.
And what is he supposed to do after demolishing the crown? Become a matrimonial husband like someone else? Will Huiju’s family even return the company to her, since they only started treating her better after she handed it over? And what about the poor majesty who’ll probably get bullied at school after losing power? Maybe I’m overthinking it but I really didn’t like this destroy the crown plot at all. I was hoping Ian would actually be hungry for the throne. It would’ve felt more satisfying, esp as a way to prove something to his late father.
Q: I don’t really understand the original novel setup, regarding who the actual main characters were supposed…
Thanks for all the effort you’re putting into explaining the plot in the comments. I wanted to ask, did you understand everything that precisely just by watching the drama? Because I'm feeling stupid now lol. I understood about 90% of it.
I don’t really understand the original novel setup, regarding who the actual main characters were supposed to be. Were Prince Duan and Wanyin meant to be the leads? But wasn’t Wanyin always destined to become the demon consort? And why was Dan so certain that someone would transmigrate for him? In the story, he was introduced as a tyrant, not as the male lead.
Almost every modern Cdrama has the leads meeting as teenagers, separating and then reuniting later.K-dramas atleast keep the childhood connection as a flashback. But I do admire how loyal Cdrama fans are, they don't even complain about repeated tropes.

even the court lady tries to control him
