A beautiful story that will make you not want to let go

Wow, I haven’t come across a story that gets me straight in the feels like this since Go Ahead.

This story is beautifully written and executed. Our main leads go through many twists and turns but none of it felt unnecessary. I could understand the thoughts and actions of the characters very well. That’s one of my pet peeves actually, when the characters make really stupid decisions that makes me question whether I like them or not lol

Here even the events that led up to their break up felt frustrating but understandable. I understood why Wu Yan was at her wits end. She loved Nian Qin but in the worst possible time in her life she felt like he wasn’t there for her and she had to cater to his temper and feelings. Of course she also needs someone to lean on. The equality was off. She took care of him and loved him but it felt like he had some growing up and maturing to do.

The reversal in the second half of the drama was well thought out and I appreciated seeing their roles reversed and now Nian Qin being there for her after all the emotional trauma of losing not only her father but best friend back to back. She was scarred by life and left fragile. Not to mention after seeing her do all the pursuing in the first half of the drama it was nice to see him have to win her over for once.

The music in a drama rarely leaves an impact on me but I have to say the songs and background music in this drama was perfection. It gave the drama such a melancholic and ethereal kind of vibe that’s hard to describe.

The secondary characters if I’m being completely honest are the only thing I was whatever about in this drama. I skipped almost all of their scenes but I don’t think that took away from my viewing experience because for me the main characters is why I’m watching.

Overall this drama is definitely worth watching and for the first time in a good while has earned a complete 10/10 .

Heartwarming and Surprisingly Real

This story caught me by surprise. Though it’s not surprisingly different in terms of plot, it’s well executed and does manage to throw a few surprises at you. Overall I’d classify it as a feel good romance.

The main leads were by far what made the show for me. The way they supported each other even through the most difficult of times was beautiful to see. Of course they did make mistakes and poor choices along the way but honestly it just adds to the realistic feel of the story. People make mistakes and things don’t always go smoothly. I was so happy that there was no breakup in the show. They really had me thinking there that it was definitely going to happen. The whole noble idiocy play is just really upsetting but I was happy to see this show didn’t go there and they stuck it out and came out stronger for it.
I wasn’t a fan of the secondary couple but oh well just skip over those parts and the rest is lovely

Just what I needed

After finding out that park bo young and seo in guk were going to be in this drama I just had to watch it. That doesn’t always guarantee a great story but I personally loved this one. It was an interesting mix of melodrama, romance and comedy.

Since hearing the storyline I was very worried it would have a sad ending. Call me old fashioned but I love happy endings. Open or sad endings just leave me feeling uneasy and upset.

I loved our two main leads, gotta give major props to their acting because the emotions and nuances they were able to portray in their characters really made me fall I love with them as a couple throughout the drama. The side characters were also well fleshed out and didn’t have me skipping all of their scenes which I do tend to do because most of the time dramas just use them as filler and don’t give them much thought.

The OST’s were perfect and overall I loved the vibe and tone throughout the drama. The ending was beautiful and was one of those dramas that makes me feel like I need a bit before starting a new drama. That’s how I know I truly like a drama when I don’t want to move on. The only thing that would have made it even more perfect is if they would have gotten married lol. But I did love that the last episode highlighted that this isn’t the end for our lovely characters but the beginning of Kim SA Ram’s new life as a human and a new chapter in their lives. They deserve it after putting their lives and destiny on the line for each other .

Heartwarming and beautiful

I’ve been getting pickier with dramas recently, maybe it’s because I’ve seen so many but I hardly binge dramas anymore. This one was a lovely surprise.
It’s not too complex by any means. It’s very much light and fluffy but it has that special something that makes you love a story. The characters just honestly love and support each other. There aren’t many “villains” in the story. It mostly centers on each characters personal struggles and their journey through life. I think Nanxi’s social anxiety was presented quite well and his journey to opening himself up to others was believable and not rushed.
I give the main couple huge props for their communication. They really talk things out and have virtually no misunderstandings. The ost’s are also a really nice accompaniment and the show as a whole gave me the warm fuzzies and left a smile on my face.

Beautiful story

This drama evokes so many emotions and really makes you feel for all these beautiful characters. I loved all three of the main leads. Yes three, because I fully believe ma xiao xiao, yi dong dong and ou xiao jian were all main leads. Though she didn’t end up with Xiao Jian his story is what breathed life into this drama. As tragic as his fate was he was truly a man of justice which you can’t help but respect.

Unpopular opinion maybe but I’m so happy that ma xiao xiao and yi dong dong ended up together. He proved himself in being the man that she needed by her side. Though she and Xiao Jian had their childhood and so many emotions and connections between them, at the end of the day the path he chose in life prevented him from ever being able to give Xiao xiao the life she deserved. Dong dong’s love and understanding made me love him so much. He was willing to let her go when he realized xiao jian could make her happy. Regardless of his feelings what he wanted most was her happiness. Such a beautiful soul definitely deserves all the happiness life can give him.

Must watch

This story captured my heart. They did so many things right. Each character felt like they had substance and made me interested in their story. It’s a story about Family, Trauma, and Love. The pain each character faces is so real and powerful. I’m a sucker for romance and though the main romance here didn’t take center stage rather was woven into the story seamlessly along with everyone else’s story it still managed to be one of the most beautiful love stories I’ve ever come across. Ling Xiao and Jian Jian’s story was so mature, the way they dealt with their problems was amazing to behold. They didn’t gloss over the fact that he had psychological problems and once in a relationship those problems didn’t just magically disappear, rather we were able to see the slow progression towards healing and how much they supported each other through these difficulties. As the episodes flew by and I got closer and closer to the end, I found myself not wanting it to end. It felt like we were a part of all these characters life journey and I wanted to witness the rest of their lives. Usually for chinese dramas I’d say around 24 episodes is the sweet spot. Once that number starts getting to the 30’s and 40’s things start dragging. However this drama was an exception, I honestly cannot imagine it being shorter. Each part of the story deserved the time it received, I wouldn’t have minded a few more episodes , that’s how much I loved this show. Right down to the music which was a perfect match to the vibe of the story. I know I’ll be rewatching this in the future, and it’ll go down as one of my all time favorites

I fell in love with this drama. Both the romance and the story were beautifully executed.

One of my favorite aspects of this drama is the Female leads journey to discover herself and what she wants out of her life after her dreams of being a celebrity crumble. It was very realistic with many ups and downs. Made me feel like I was on that journey right along with her and that this drama wasn’t solely focused on her romance but also her growth as an individual.

Her romance with Han Che was also amazing. He’s a wonderfully flawed character, and his sincere feelings for her shine through. It’s hard not to be upset with him when he gets hella petty throughout the drama but in a way it also made me like his character, despite him being a “genius” this is no perfect male lead, he’s got his own issues and is severely lacking in social skills. Whenever Nuan Nuan gets angry at him it’s entirely deserved so I really enjoyed him having to fight for her in the later part of the drama.

I actually really enjoyed the side characters as well, they weren’t annoying or boring, they actually have good storylines. I didn’t skip ahead during their parts and that’s saying a lot because I tend to fast forward most side stories when I realize I don’t care about what’s going on with that character. Han Chen was a character I had mixed feelings about, I gotta admit I got slight SLS, his character is super sweet and the back story between him and Nuan Nuan was just beautiful and touching. If this were real life and I were Nuan Nuan I would have most likely fallen for him instead of Han Che. He truly loved Nuan Nuan and to not pull the classic “ I will win you at all costs” move with the whole King secret made me have mad respect for him. He truly just wanted her to be happy. But in the wise words of Nuan Nuan if you don’t know whether it’s love then that means it isn’t and her heart told her who she loved without a doubt. Overall it’s a wonderfully fluffy story with a great soundtrack and beautiful ending.

The story to this drama started off with quite a bit of potential but as it unfolded I found myself liking it less and less. Mainly due to the way the FL went about dealing with her family situation. It just seemed very unrealistic that at her age and after seeing her father with someone else in an obvious romantic encounter, that she would still do all that she did to basically force her family back together again. Not only that but the FL’s personality was hard for me to get behind. Her mannerisms and over the top actions just made me really distracted as I was watching this drama, which ended up making me drop it. I’ve seen Irene in the drama Flavor it’s yours, which I did finish but only because I Fast forwarded A LOT. I’d say both characters are pretty similar so she must be drawn to this type of Tom boyish character but the way she portrays them just seems a bit over the top to me. I’ve seen other drama’s with similar types of characters like in Skate into love but I really loved that drama and the main female lead. I guess me and this actress just aren’t vibing, so I’ll probably not watch another of her dramas. Overall i think it’s an okay watch.
