Yes, same here. The kiss scene was good but the lantern scene built more emotional intimacy between them that hit different. To others it may be a small gesture, but to the right person, it means the whole world and that's exactly what Ye Li felt. I was swooning like crazy over it while getting emotional too.

I had to replay that and her genuine shocked face surprised me too. Ye Li seems to be the type that wears her heart on her sleeve when she's around the right people. She won't get shy and openly show affection to you so her doing that to Xiuyao is definitely a huge step.

Hehe Ye Li helped MXY and now its his turn. I appreciate how attentive he is about her condition. There's no judgement between the both of them and they genuinely are trying to help each other.

Ep. 16: The Lantern!! 😭😭I love how Mo Xiuyao always talks in the calmest soothing voice with Ye Li. His eyes sparkled with so much happiness and excitement presenting it to Ye Li. If I was Ye Li, I'd be so moved too. Our poor Ye Li. I just want to keep giving her hugs after seeing her breakdown in tears. but I truly think this is her turning point on how she feels about MXY. She finally realized she has someone who she can share things with that genuinely cares for her. I loved that the next morning she immediately took him out on a cute little date to explain everything. It truly is the little things that always mean more. 🥹
