yeah it was just a huge exposition dump, i feel like they could have add some footage there while explaining make it interesting

yeah i did notice that for recent drama, tho it feels especially obvious in this one, so many things are 'told not shown' to the audience

1. Lizard explaining everything going with Haekang's inner feelings after Haekang and Hari's fight
2. Chungwon is supposed to be smart, how he found out about the fake family is reduced to his assistant dumping all the answers to him lol
3. The funeral scene where Chungwon comes eheheing revealing what he did, when they already established Haekang is smart enough to deduce it himself

Writing smart characters only works if you trust the audience to keep up? overexplaining everything just makes it feel too hand-holdy tbh

started to notice how there's always a character to explain everything going on to the viewers like they are catering for an audience who would not pay attention watching nor connect the dots themselves...

if a drama is not mainstream the mdl rating is always low(er), that's how it's always been

the judge returns is mbc, and dreaming of a freaking fairytale is tvn...

i honestly thought now that seori knows about her backstory we can wrap up the joseon plot and focus on the future, of them building their life together / taking down mundo . The little moments of them today was the whole reason this drama resonated with people. The grandma just died too we can focus on them being there for eo? and then he gets stabbed FOR WHAT

and then I see from the preview she gets sent back for real ? 😭😭😭

sure sure watch on your own time but I just wanna say this is not serious at all, only ep1 + half of ep2 is then he will regress to the past and the tone of the drama will completely change :D

the story picks up in ep2, I think if you love Ji Sung you will enjoy it despite not liking political courtroom dramas. The standout of the drama is the cast (I keep calling it a Jisung harem drama in my head xD)

if you didn't like it after ep2-3 then it's more understandable to drop
