Everything was fine for me until they went to the prison camp. Thereafter it is rather messy.
The messy stuff was rather bad, especially when the princess appeared. Too many survival based on luck and the villains thought process became inconsistent-more to just ler the leads stay alive .
The main thing that kept me interested was zhou yu tong.
Man this drama is making me feel all kinds of rollercoaster of emotions...I think Dong Shi was involved in Xue…
Possible, another way to look at it is that DS needed CY in her state of transformation as we know from the last pig change so XM probably spotted him or something like that and went back to confront him. There is also a question mark how DS got the half book and why the brother bought the cosmetic the day before that DS wanted to hide? Is the lady feixue in fact in love with the brother or he caught QS and FX in the act and had to die?
After ploughing through the early slower episodes half-heartedly, I got so hooked on this from about eps 15 onwards.…
Most of the answers will still be based on speculation since it is mainly emotions/feelings.
1. It was said that he went back to recover the tablet of the royal ancestors. That was assumed as they discovered the tablets under his burnt body.
2. He was upset and probably shocked that the brother's death had to do with CY and he prob didn't believe that CY didn't know his brother. In a trailer that I saw earlier which I think is related to this, XY was questioning why CY was there... (the fire scene I guess). He probably felt guilty as well as he earlier chose CY over finding the truth and the sad truth is CY.
3. TY loves XM and probably XM spoke to her about protecting CY before. Remember TY trying to drug XY because she promised someone to protect her, that someone is probably XM. She may think that by not telling XY the truth is protecting CY. She even tried to hide the letter - so she guessed that XY may leave CY if he knows the truth.
now i can see why the ratings kinda went down, haha not sooo bad, as I won't give up on our main leads yet since…
You should probably be happy since it'll be just next week that most if not all episodes are released and subs should follow - unless you feel like dropping it then you can probably wait for us to finish it and tell you how the remaining episodes go... ;)
I completed "In a class of her own" so caught episode 23 late. Agree on the filler scenes, really evident when…
Yeah, lots of eye candies in that one especially Song Wei Long, IMO one of the most handsome actors in C-Dramas. I first saw him in the trailer of Find Yourself and I was thinking if I was the FL I'd also want him!
I was also abit too crazy until episode 20 and at the same time catching a few K-Dramas. Last night I was able to sleep earlier :) Well we got 7 more episodes to go, probably next week is when it ends? I am a contemplating whether to start Love and Redemption which has 59 episodes (because of Zhang Yu Xi).
The series actually got good reviews and the writer got a bit of fame for this - they are anticipating season…
Yeah I completed this sometime ago and read it somewhere. The main reason I am still keen on this is the FL, the drama itself is okay but tried to be too clever from some point on...
I was watching the beginning of episode 27 and had to stop to rest cos it is just so frustrating to see them force…
Yes I agree with that his character is consistent, consistently flawed. Being a dude if you have to be so self-centered and believe the way the world should work is the way you think it should be and not try to understand that your lady need assurance because you are so darn cool and handsome - you are better off being alone. CY's biggest flaw which I really dislike though is she always thinks what she thinks is best for XY e.g. letting you guys be together etc... without any regards of XY feelings. Typical of C-Drama's weak and "kind-hearted" FL.
And again, nothing against the actor/actress but the recent plots and presentation.
I feel so damn bad for the big bro...why would the writer do this? I felt bad for him the whole day..I... don't…
Then I guessed it worked the way the writer(s) wanted it to be, the surprise element followed by what you are feeling right now. Probably how they presented it is quite uncalled for.

You first sentence sums it all up, it depends on the acceptance threshold of the conflicts created - and whether it makes common sense at all.
From different perspective, he asked CY not to listen to NX but what NX said to her so far XY was not able to dispute - and it made things worse that it is coming out from NX and not XY no? CY is supposed to trust XY even if he chose not to tell CY what happened between himself and NX, it is so difficult? He could have just told her from the start he thought NX was just making use of him to get to her father and CY is likely to believe him more? NX is brainwashing CY which could have been prevented. She is weak but she didn't know anything about their history, for me I will believe the first version I hear as well. Well XY didn't believe CY when she told her about her stoney situation, so I guess the not trusting is mutual.
Like I said, it is okay for him to behave this way but how it happened it is just too forced.
Xue Mu's death is definitely suspect. However, that does not begin to justify the shitty behavior from Xue Yao!…
It is justifiable how he behaved, no one with a heart can handle such information. It is just how the writer makes the worst out of these situations for dramatic effects. Guess it works that it is stirring emotions, however just makes it less credible. He shouldn't marry the FL but just he chose to drink and mess a bigger mess, as if it will help matters. If he wants to do so, find a place where no one can find you. The thing that is wrong with his character is that he thinks he is cool but in fact making things worse. In Chinese saying l'll say that he is "马后炮", looking into matters only after the worst happened. The FL is a victim of his way of handling things.

Since the earlier episode when he set the trap I mentioned I don't really like the ML's character. Now he is continuing to mess things up; if he doesn't know how to handle situations or love someone, he should probably go back to the battlefield. FL is much better off with the SML except with the sleeping issue.
I really dislike how the writers are adding stupid stuff to amplify the misunderstanding and conflict.

Why did the CY need to clear her mind in the first place? Common sense will tell XY that NX is up to no good by getting close to CY. Instead of telling CY his history with NX, he allowed CY to hear NX's version and after that desperately explain. Did he think that NX wouldn't say anything or CY wouldn't feel anything? So he became busy after chasing the assassins and have so much talk about them that he has no time to update CY that the emperor doesn't want to see him etc. Yet other people got so much time to tell her that XY hasn't looked for the emperor yet. NX didn't need the stone to foresee when to hug XY or hold his hands in order to let CY walk in on them. This misunderstanding thankfully got resolved rather quickly by Mr Bai. Then we have QS again not needing the stone to foresee that XY will buy books for CY, leading to the aunt saying that his brother had these books as well and them finding the stuff QS planted. And if things were not bad enough, they have to add in the part where CY used the coins left behind by the brother. We know that there is going to be misunderstands and conflict so no need for extras.

I caught this show mainly because of the ML after watching "Skate into Love" but ended up liking the FL more.
Agree, she is not the typical C-Drama FL that gets into trouble needed some dude to help her out.
