It's quite boring until FL starts work and gets to interact with ML. It gets much better after the ML starts to pursue her which is almost in the middle so I get what you mean.

Last evening's episode when the truth was revealed - ML's friend misunderstood that she is an illegitimate daughter and told ML the "daughter" is interested in him. ML thought it was Nie Xi Guang since Nie CY only has one daughter. Friend claims that he only found out later that she is a god daughter. Perhaps he didn't see Nie Xi Guang the party but it is not an excuse for being ambiguous.

Oh, I went to the kitchen during the scene when they went into the car after the shopping spree. What a waste of screen time.

ML love at first sight when he met FL at the party before his accident. ML friend called him to set up a date with FL saying the feeling is mutual. ML met with the accident on his way to the date. Why the FL doesn't have any idea about the date we still don't know.

Started to be interesting from episode 9 onwards. Episode 1 - 4 is basically the university life so without any ML screentime, 4-8 is more on the transition to being an adult.
