Didn't think much of it when I started watching it late last night... Ended up watching 3 episodes until almost 2am.

ML's buddy Tang dude, the red phoenix... and ya a bit weird between ML and sister... ML sometime is weird but can put it as his situation.

Chengyi has one with Zhang Yuxi, that one went wrong as well.

So we are at the same pace lol. btw I find the acting a bit awkward as well... Think it is due to the script?

Thanks! Just that there are many Cdramas nowadays trying to be funny but fails miserably - became lame or cringy. It is good that this doesn't focus on comedy cos it is likely to become one of them. I rather it is serious like solo leveling. The main character though is a bit inconsistent so far.

I watch a lot of these Chinese anime where the character started weak and levels up in an alternate world. It is a common genre so how they make it stand out is not easy.

I read the comments below that it gets better after episode 7. Maybe I watch a couple more. ATM I just not sure where it is going - is it supposed to be serious? or funny? I am not connecting to it.

Episode 1 was boring which is still acceptable since story development... episodes 2 was interesting and then it became boring again. I am at episode 5 and think I'll drop it.

Yeah, my teenage son was asking how come the ML look like that one... I told him he was supposed to have gone through a lot lol... but then even a crew cut looks better.

Think he likes her more than she likes him... for her it was just a crush.

watched 2 episodes straight, quite interesting... only complaint is ML hair - supposed to make him look frugal or fashionable... either way didn't work for me
