im on ep. 3 and why tf is the prime minister talking about "blood debt" and "what goes around, comes around" his godson got killed coz he tried to kill ML with assassins, bro got what he deserved why the prime minister acting like he got higher ground ugh sometimes cdrama villains be too irrational and annoying

starting another cdrama, trying to stay emotionally detached from every single character aside from the ML and FL because I have seen too many historical cdramas and learnt my lesson

same I always have to balance it out with just know enough spoilers to stop the anxiety but not too much that I lose interest in watching

i finally finished itttt 10/10 no notes well one last kiss wouldnt have hurt but anyways

i was barely making it through episode 23 but then their prison meeting scene with chi cheng fixing his hair before meeting suo wei HAS ME IN SHAMBLES IM BAWLING MY EYES OUTTTT I NEED FIVE MORE EPISODES OF RECOVERY AFTER THIS AND I ONLY GET ONE???????

i was hesitant to start this drama because i thought it would be a bit too toxic for me but im on episode 12 now and this is honestly the funniest BL drama i have ever watched, WSW is so so so cute and bratty and fun and I think the story works so well because he is very capable of dealing with CC with schemes and the mind games they like to play; the romance is done so well, the slow burn, the push and pull, the gay awakening, THEIR CHEMISTRY has me hooked. Basically, I was worried that they might be too unbalanced in power dynamics but it doesn't feel that way at all. Also first time for me where they second couple in a BL also has me hooked, the four main cast is way too good looking lol

cold FL x warm ML, older FL x younger ML, black cat FL and puppy dog ML, friends to enemies to lovers, forbidden love (families are enemies) LIKE THESE TROPES WERE MEANT FOR MEEEE, i dont really care for the rest of the plot (though the twists are interesting) but im eating the romance parts uppppp; the romance could be better but it is pretty up to par with these kind of shorter cdramas

10 episodes in and though the ML and FL scenes together arent many they have reallyyyy goooddd chemistry
