just watched the first 3 episodes am enjoying it prefer it to the kdrama one (although they're meant to be unrelated) was also bit surprised by her saying she loves him in episode 3. Seems very quick even by Jdrama standards! The ex is giving me nightmares of the crazy ex in the jdrama "Marry my husband" (fabulous series) like this guy a bully but also seems to need to shout a lot. I won't mark it til it's finished. I love jdramas but sometimes would like the episodes to be a little longer and/or one or two extra episodes just to tie all things up.. Saying that I do prefer their format to kdramas 16 episodes.
thank you for a great review- I've just finished it. I also was hoping for a kiss which never happened. But what did Sakyo whisper to Hitomi at the end? There was no subtitles in English for whatever he said!
oh I didn't know that they visited the village- SO glad to hear that - even if we couldn't see it. Totally agree their interactions with the villagers were authentic and real: a breathe of fresh air in the world we live in nowadays.
Probably it's a onetime thing. The 3 of them are on the bigger names side, especially Bo Gum, don't think he could…
To be honest I never saw him in anything before this it was watching his amazing expressions in this that made me try and watch him in a series and I watched "Boyfriend/Encounter" which I thought he was brilliant in it (even if it was a few years ago) Likewise I've seen the other 2 actors in secondary roles but especially liked Kwak in that Finnish reality series. .
I presume so but I don't know. Still not convinced weight loss is necessary for most roles. Often actors 'bulk up' when doing action roles which I understand or in the case of Renee Zellweger who put on lots of weight for her role in "Bridget Jones Diary' (which she admitted affected her long term health later). But playing an office worker doesn't sound that necessary.
Yokohama Ryusei is damn good looking. It's a treat to see a handsome actor who appears to be free of plastic surgery.…
Ryusei has been in the Japanese version of 'Nevertheless' (brilliant) , "The Journalist' and romantic comedies such as 'Why I dress up for Love' and "A story to read when you first fall in love' which I believe was one of the first series where he attracted attention.
To be honest I don't like the idea of any actor male/female feeling the need or pressure to lose weight for a role. If they want to lose weight/watch their weight that's a personal matter but I do find it strange that there seems to be a lot of emphasis on losing weights for roles - but that's just me I'm new to this trend.
Oh thank you π been trying to find out where you can but it/download it. Found singers website but not this song. Really want to have it on my jdrama songlist!
Saying that I do prefer their format to kdramas 16 episodes.
