Adam Uni's facebook page was blocked but he was subbing with gcinee. I'm pretty sure the subs require download. Otherwise: http://gcinee.com/history-03-trap/
Cast: Cast is wonderful and they fit their characters really well. Cinematography: Nothing special, just typical filming so far Music: Nothing memorable yet Characters: Your two leads are very enjoyable, though there are some moments that create second-hand embarrassment ;v; Set: The Built Set looks wonderful, but the green-screen background set kinda brings you out of the environment a bit. CGI: Let me straightforward here: A bit hard on the eyes. Far from Ever Night and even Ashes of Love standards, but not unwatchable. Story: I'm watching the whole thing RAW, so it's a bit hard to understand fully since my mandarin isn't top-notch, but from what I can tell it's a story that's a bit empty.
Reasons to watch this: Honestly, for the characters and cast. They are very enjoyable and if you focus on them it'll "negate" some parts that are a bit more flawed like the story and CGI. Current Rating: 7.5/10
We need more scenes with the Secondary leads than the the side characters. I really hope that after the latest episodes it will basically close up on the majority of their story, cause I want more of Jack and Zhao Li An (aka Shorty :D ). I mean, they are the secondary mains after all, and the series only has 6 episodes left.
I have such conflicted feelings about this. On one hand I'm loving it but then on the other there's just this feeling of hating it for the final couple of episodes.
I understand the frustration people had with Ning Que falling for Sang Sang, so here are some facts to clarify why going that direction was a reasonable choice: 1. The novel went that way, and adaptations usually have to be as close as possible. 2. They still aren't blood related, and it's been hinted from the beginning that they have romantic feelings for each other. 3. (MINOR SPOILERS) Sang Sang is THE plot device in the novel. EVERYTHING that happens in the story is related/if not because of her. Without her, the story wouldn't exist. The being of that character simply can not be removed or else the story collapses on itself.
It was the same for me, when I found out that Ning Que will end up with Sang Sang rather than Shan Shan, I am…
It's based on a novel and they wanted to keep the story as close to it as possible (which they did really well). And Sang Sang is THE main story driver. Everything that happens in the story is BECAUSE of HER. (MAJOR Spoilers: She's the demon's spawn while Ning Que isn't. The whole story is about hunting and defeating the demons spawn, which has been Sang Sang all along.)
Still a mystery to me how this drama got a high rating?! but it’s different preference...
This drama was made for people that don't focus too much on romance and stuff. It's high ratings came from the beautiful cinematography, talented veteran and rookie actors, the costume, the soundtrack and the fact that it barely diverged from the original novel. To each their own taste of course.
