Could see some of the same. REALLY wished if nothing else, that they had done more with the time travel element. Was waiting to see something about it, feel like its more traditional supernatural that just.. IS there behind the scenes. Don't agree with moving up the time because Lene or Ran knew, her dad ran everything. She had evidence and a small team. She had to have clout for the investors and even that backfired too. Liked the push back from Ran and how immature/closed Lene seemed to be, felt it fit in their relationship. Didn't like the heavy 'anger bc I care' Lene, felt like we needed a solid 2 eps to explain rather than a min/half of her going back to Peem after the first 'get out of my sight'. Their chemistry held it to me.

I get it, with AI 2001, lets be real so much work needed - movie, (amazing potential). It wasn't a stolen premise and OP didn't say that. It's actually a very basic take on AI and human interaction. (Meaning/ AI has been either Heavily human, or Heavily robot) like mentioned with Bicentennial Man. But also in other media like 'Humans' (UK/US TV Show 2015-18) - if you wanted to break your heart further (!) Amazing. Having seen them, I still find this unique.

I agree, you can have story points and inspiration with building and creating vs. taking, copying and pasting, is not the same. You can have a full idea and branch and use your predecessors to inspire. It is OKAY to see a brilliant idea and still grow from it.

Fully agree. Like with LBD, I wished they had done more with the concept they started with. Felt like they only used it as a jumping off point with no real intention to explain. I can see how the creator may think it's a poignant way to tell a story, leaving it open like that, but it does seem to be a bit amateur imo
