I watched 'Nothing But You' (NBY) after watching 'Amidst a Snowstorm of Love'. Compared to the latter, I really didn't enjoy NBY as much. The main leads lacked chemistry, and it didn't matter to me whether they ended up together or not. It was annoying that Song Sanchuan always lowered himself for Jiang Youan. I didn't observe much personal growth, especially in Song Sanchuan.
I kind of wished the drama was more about the players. It would have been better if they showed more about tennis than political issues and romance. Unlike 'Amidst a Snowstorm of Love', which sparked my interest in billiards, NBY didn't make me interested in tennis. I felt this drama lacked bromance.
The male lead had major traumas and psychological issues, but they never showed him getting treated properly. This could have been a much better drama, but at its best, it was average.
I still enjoyed parts of it, but a lot of the time, I was simply bored and hoping it would end.
