Is it just me to find the editing confusing? I am quite lost in the sequence, I see scenes in which they are couples and then in others in which she is single, yet to meet the ml, let alone commissioning a couple to act as her parents.
The FL is awesome! Looked her up and she is a veteran. I am for strong female leads and her role here does not disappoint at all and she plays it beautifully.
I am only up to the 3rd episode, but what I have seen so far is pure poetry, so profoundly human, painful and yet noble and moral, a master class screenplay, excellent performance.I wasn't aware of this drama when it was aired so it makes me doubt that it has received the recognition and merits it so deserves. To those who want to feel the impact of an excellent screenplay delivered by great performers and production, please dive in, you won't be disappointed.
I am watching it for the first time, heard good things about it. The female lead is supposed to be the wicked girl in the series "the glory", but she looks so very different here, as if they are different persons..
So a review posted on YouTube says the screenplay was written by lawyers, this can explain the quality of the cases presented in the series, relatable, straight forward except the last case about fraudulent acquisition of the sw company, swear to God I am lost in the complexity of process and parties involved at some point. In the wrapping up of the last episode, we get to see shots of cases processed in the past, I remember them all except the one in which they show a man in prison wearing glasses, holding a photo of his mother, I presume, in his hands. I can't recall the case. Anyone can tell me in which episode the case is presented? I'd like to go back to check it out. As for the main leads, one can make up endings to one's own desire, I personally think explanation should be given to why the female lead subscribed to the Heart Logic in the first place, getting a pamphlet of the agency from a client can't be the reason she subscribed to it. Then the last meeting with the male lead after witnessing the proposal of the second lead couples, wouldn't it be a good moment for her to talk about her relationship with the ex boy friend, saying how she values love, loyality over age, background suitability? This would certainly make the male lead understand her thoughts about love and help him to understand her more, thus gathering courage to pursue her.
A good wrap up, it would have been even better if the leads had said something more direct to each other at the end. I don't quite know how to move on from here, there is "Bon appetit" as alternative, but it is not quite my cup of tea..sigh..
The ending of the drama will not be able to satisfy all the people here today. Either those who want romance or…
I have read somewhere that pending on final ratings, there can be talks for another season. I don't expect to hear any wedding bells or alike, but I think the drama would probably end with the main leads giving themselves a chance for their feelings to develop, which is a very positive ending from me. Giving an hour airing time, other remaining issues can also be wrapped up appropriately.
The ex wife should disappear with her current husband and never come back and hands off Hash. The male lead is truly a caring person, he deserves someone by his side and the female lead is just right. Don't disappoint us.
I fervently hope there will be unequivocal scenes that show the leads have feelings for each other and intend to pursue the other before the series end. They are really good together, different and yet so similar, each makes the other a better, more wholesome person.
Arthur Chan is truly a gifted actor, whatever roles he plays, he nails them. I personally don't like time jump, time slip themes, this one is no exception. I find them anti-climate with often the same endings, the leads meeting up in modern world with or without memories of what they have had together, reminding me painfully that I have spent hours, days watching dreams. Dramas are fictions, but watching dreams in fictions are hilarious.
