He is a very competent actor but doesn't have many calls, I presume, for new projects. The entertainment industry…
I see, well he can certainly afford to be selective. I totally enjoyed his performance in Princess Agent, it seems that now is one of the rare chances I get to see him perform especially in period drama.

Gosh I have not seen Shawn Dou since PA. He's gotten much more handsonme. I am enjoying this so far.
He is a very competent actor but doesn't have many calls, I presume, for new projects. The entertainment industry is complex..

I thought evils will not have their way and yet the preview of episode 12 actually shows the female lead signing over her company to the evil of Career Way who has set up the whole scheme to being her down. I am so disappointed.

Just because those clips are out, doesn’t necessarily mean they made the final cut. If that is what happens…
I tried to trace them back just now so I could post the links here for you but couldn't see them, I could have if I had saved them aside. But if I bump into them again, I'll post them here for you under spoiler.

you should give an additional warning "this may contain a spoiler from the novel".
My post is not only about the novel but clips of the drama I came across in YouTube as well, so adding "spoiler alert from novel" or words alike did not come to my mind and shouldn't have. Anyway, apologies accepted. I wanted to share my thoughts after what I saw on YouTube, they upset me too. Don't think I'll share anything else, at least not untill he drama finishes airing. Constructive chats, air is cleared now, have a good day.

I hope those scenes didn't make the final cuts, I'll certainly go back to watch it if the ending won't be so extreme and tragic.

I said as much in the text, otherwise you wouldn't have commented as you just did. I'd suggest you keep your curiosity in check if you don't want to know more than you want to, or you respect others sharing their thoughts and findings when they are clearly delivered under "spoiler" sign. Don't blame others when you intentionally choose to read something that isn't to your liking.

just saw some clips on YouTube about the drama, it shows the fl reading a journal of the ml with tears in her eyes, and then her gaze as if looking down to a grave or something, then captions saying he killed himself after years of physical and emotional sufferings. So I think the adaptation of the novel in drama does follow the end of the novel, a sad ending that does not sit well with me because it is too extreme, unrealistic. Physical fitness is the basic requirement for military enrollment, let alone for volunteers, the ml shouldn't have never be allowed back on the field again after multiple injuries impacting his physical and psychological state. it is just too surreal. A tear dragging novel played out to drag just as much tears. I love the acting of the cast, especially the male lead, he is great in conveying emotions, very expressive, and the female lead likewise. The script is just too surreal. I look forward to watching other projects by the leads but am dropping this one. I can accept bad endings when they are logical, but this drama has gone wild from certain point onward, it just wants to force tears from viewers.

not if it follows the novel.
I thinks he should have stopped risking his life at a certain point. Besides he is not part of the military but a volunteer, he cannot be allowed to take on so many risks on his own account. Medical fitness is no exception to volunteers. He suffered extensive injuries, including in hearing, he cannot be allowed be back on the field,, but he did. The novel is unrealistic from a certain moment onward. The characterization of him is just too extreme, surreal.

This is what I am doing, for now. The ending in the novel is tragic, it tells that they marry, but he has suffered multiple injuries during his volunteering service, his body gave up on him, making it impossible for him to live without tremendous physical sufferings, so 9 years after their marriage, he shot himself when their only child is 9 years old. As for her, she went back to work in war zone, tried to save a child and got shot to dead. Personally, I think the novel has gone too extreme, too dramatic, I don't really want to see such tragic, hopeless ending in the drama.

By the way, does anyone know what she wrote on his car window in breath? Because it wasn’t subbed on screen.…
it was his name.

I heard about the novels ending and hope the drama stays true to that. Even though it's mostly a romance, I appreciate…
I read the ending of the novel, in its original language, btw. Believe me, if you like happy endings, you will not wish the drama to end in the same way the novel does.

i dont think that there'll be a sad ending in this ! bc i saw that the last ep was where they'll get married
Thank you for telling me this!!. I was even thinking of dropping this drama because of such a sad ending in the novel. Now I'll keep watching it with a lighter heart. I 'll never ever watch any dramas or read novels ending badly, I just refuse bad endings:)

I finally found the novel in Chinese online. I couldn't help but to jump to the ending, which has broken my heart completely. I fervently hope the adaptation of the novel in drama has a different, well deserving ending.

I haven't read the novel, can't find it online whether in English or Chinese.Being a viewer of the drama, I think the script could have. should have given the main leads a more adult approach in their relationship, the shyness, the typical adolescent behaviour when they are together are unfitting for t adults, especially when they have experienced so much in their professions. This is the fault in the script, the weakness of the director. It has nothing to do with the performance of the main leads who portrait exactly what are asked of them. They are performers of relatively young age but are excellent in delivering what are asked of them.

the characterizations of the leads are, same as others in the drama, defined by the director,so instead of criticising the fl as an immature adolescent, take it up with the director. The female lead is a competent, experienced actrss, she has always delivered.
