This drama did not fire up when it first started and it is slow in picking up interest from the public. I watched several episodes and promised myself to go back to it later on. The story telling, cinematography and settings and visuals just don't stand out as I thought it would when I first caught words of the project.

May be it is too soon for me to get excited about this drama shortly after The story of pearl girl and, prior to it, Are you the one. At the moment I am not eager to watch this drama after the first few episodes, I find the pacing is slow and the cinematography, settings do not stand out. However I am a fan of Seven Tan, she never disappoints so am putting the drama away for now and shall come back later

Anyone like me Has problems with remembering the names of the characters in the drama? I don't speak Korean and reading the subtitles is the only way for me to understand what is going on, but sometimes I can't make out who is who thru reading names!!

I need to rewatch each episode to understand fully what actually has happened!

this drama surprised me in a good way, definitely. I like the story, the cast and especially the male lead who I consider to be one of the most accomplished period dramas actors there is in the recent times. Am more than half way thru and knowing it has a happy ending it is more enjoyable than several others I watched which all ended badly. Chinese period dramas have picked up the habit of ending badly in the last year or so, I have become picky now, no happy ending, no watching.

Hi, just came back here to say if anyone is looking for a costume drama and a good story with HE, you might want to check out "are you the one", I started watching it yesterday after a break from the story of pearl girl and I find it engaging. The male lead is Zhang Wan Yi, he did Lost you forever and The story of Ning, I consider him one of the best prepared costume drama actors there is in the recent time, his poise, acting and dialogs are top notch. As for the female lead Wang Chu Ran, some like her enough and some don't, I am among the latter, I have always found her acting stiff, unnatural, as if she plays the role but she is not the role she plays, if you know what I mean. But hey, the story is so far so good, and I am really enjoying the male lead's performance. So enjoy to whoever wants to give the drama a go.

Hi everyone, dropped by to say goodbye to followers of this drama here. Am leaving this drama behind now to move on to something that ends happily. Chinese screen writers really need to drop their theory of bad endings (especially when unnecessary) make their scripts stay longer in viewers' hearts, they do not, they only raise anger and dissatisfaction and make them, at least I will, avoid dramas screen written by them.
