I think it is so bias, unjust to criticize ZZY playing the role of a 15 year old girl, can you think of any young actress who can take on this role so magnificently as ZZY does? Even the lines, the dialogues in the script are written for a mature person, no way a 15 year old girl can think like that or act as she is required to do in the script. The producer and the Director got the best person playing the role of the princess, and the most suitable mate for the male lead, can you imagine ZYW play the role of the husband to somone young with little experience?

I can't explain away where his troop comes from either, I guess those beheaded were those stationed in the palace, and he might still have men scattered some place near his camp back home. I forgot one part, while XQ also learnt by listening to the lady and her customers that Awu escaped from the palace, and she might have either gone back to his home camp or was being held captive in Hulan.

The folks standing under the wall were there to bid farewall to XQ army as they were grateful to XQ. In fact the lady serving food outside the wall said it is impossible for XQ to have assassinated the king as he treated people well. XQ followed the royal guards to the burial ground, killed them and vowed revenge, to clear their names.

The couple that were kneeling in front of Awu are the couple who Awu and Xiao Qi saw when they took a trip in the border, remember the episode? The girl was the one who wanted to offer wine to Ziao Qi, but Awu did not give him permission to drink it since it would mean allowing him to take the girl as lover. The man was the one who walked up to drink the wine instead. They got married , then captured by Hulan and have been slaves for 3 three years. He labors as a cook while she serves Awu.

Yes, it is really painful to see the king actually ordered the queen to die with him. As regards the fights, I guess The king went along with the plan to kill Xiao Qi because the queen persuaded him to do so. As to the reason why the Helan prince was there, I think he was tipped off by the third prince, and it was the third prince who found out about the children, too. Remember the scene when the body guard of Awu followed Xiao Qi to the house where the children were? While he was following Ziao Qi, he himself was being followed by a woman who had her face covered, she must be working for the third prince.
