"Hopeless show," said a mydramalist reviewer, a comment that answered my question, why did the Korean drama rating: Kokdu: Season of Deity dive sharply, from a rating of 4.8% (nation wide and Seoul City) closed with a rating of only 1.3%.

What caused it?

Many cursed Lim Soo-Hyang's appearance as Han Gye-Jeol, one of them with the sentence: A 30 year old woman who acts like a 12 year old, dresses like an old woman, is very clumsy and a bit stupid - very annoying

I'm so sorry, Lim Soo-Hyang?

Lim Soo-Hyang is not a newcomer. The actor Kang Mi Rae in the Korean drama ID: Gangnam Beauty and Mo Seok-Hee in the Korean drama "Graceful Family" won the Best Actress award at the 2020 MBC Drama Awards and Excellent Actress (daily drama) at the 2017 KBS Drama Awards. Lim Soo-Hyang's proof has had enough of the bitter and sour sweetness of acting.

So both Lim Soo-Hyang's fussing and sulking acting and his old fashioned clothes must have been according to the director's wishes.

I agree more if the bad rating is aimed at the entire production. The storyline is going around and around, the number of shows that should be enough for 10 episodes only stretches to 16 episodes. No wonder many stop watching in the middle of the road.

It seems that the screenwriter wanted to make a drama similar to the Korean drama Goblin/Guardian: The Lonely and Great God, but with additional slapstick scenes, such as the scene where Ok Shin and Gak Shin's lips meet. Not kisseu, because only lips that "accidentally" meet, and that's really annoying!

The plot is bad, the scenes are cliche, and there are many holes in the story, compounded by shooting that isn't really good. Like when Han Gye-Jeol found a magic mirror and was in Cinderella style, the shooting angle reminded me of the 90s.

It's not wrong for a screenwriter to be inspired by another Korean drama, but the results have to be better than their predecessors. If not, no matter how good the main character's acting, the audience's ratings and votes will be punishing.

What about Kim Jung-Hyun's acting?

The acting of King Cheoljong in the Korean drama "Mr Queen" always satisfies his fans. You could even say, Kim Jung-Hyun became the savior of the Korean drama "Kokdu: Season of Deity".

You can imagine how disappointed Kim Jung-Hyun was with the ratings for the Korean drama "Kokdu: Season of Deity". After successfully rocking South Korea with a rating of 18.554% (Mr Queen), now his drama only gets a rating of 1.3%.

When the Devil Waits for the Beloved

Important! It is better for the audience to be fans of Kim Nam-Gil, Lee Da-Hee, Sung Joon or Cha Eun-Woo before deciding to watch the Korean drama "Island". Especially fans of these 4 actors/actresses, because they will be satisfied to enjoy their faces.

On the other hand, don't get your hopes up with the story of the Korean drama "Island". The twelve episodes of this drama are like fragments that are not connected seamlessly. The bridging hangs.

The screenwriter seems to be engrossed in composing horror after horror. Failed without bridging and too much. Like the white-robed Baek Gyo sect, their existence does not affect the whole story of the Korean drama "Island".

What's worse, the existence of Pastor Johan, played by Cha Eun-Woo, becomes meaningless. The scene of spraying water while praying at Tamra High School students who are in a trance becomes even more ridiculous.

What does it mean to do water healing? If so, Van, don't intervene. What is the use of a religion that is believed to worship a God who is feared by the devil.

As a result, the existence of Pastor Johan and Pastor Parker became a boomerang. The sacred religion feels neglected. Even without religion, the devil can be defeated.

So, back to the initial sentence, if you are not a fan of Kim Nam-Gil, Lee Da-Hee, Sung Joon or Cha Eun-Woo, you should not watch the Korean drama "Island". I'm afraid I'll regret it and mess it up later. ??

Oh yeah, maybe someone is asking, is it possible to watch the Korean drama "Island 2" without watching the first one? It can't really, maybe marketing reasons have made this drama divided into 2 seasons.

About the last will of the deceased

I don't want to die
I want to live
I want to color my hair
Get on a plane, have a boyfriend, have one more boba tea
I don't care if I'm poor
I don't care if I starve
I want to live
Please save me

The moaning of the spirit of a girl named Yoon Seol-A makes me cry. He was killed by his mother before she committed suicide for financial reasons.

Maybe the mother reasoned: "I'm sorry for the future of my child, it's better to die with me." However, he is not the one who has the right to determine the fate of his child. If you want to die, just die alone. Don't bring children. Who knows the fate of the child will be better after the mother dies right?

Hehehe so hot!

The premise of the Korean drama: May I Help You is actually very simple, which is about fulfilling the last wish of the deceased.

Like Kim Joon-Ho who wants to meet his son one last time. Suk-Chul who wants to deliver a check for 100,000,000 won to his wife. Yeon-Hee who wants to 'clap' her husband and his lover. As well as other desires that block and disturb the peace of the last deceased's journey.

The result? Very nice! Rating 8/10 for overall drama and desire for rewatches. In addition to many good scenes, it also reminds us not to die in a state of curiosity, because there are many things that have not had time to be done.

Hyeri's acting, playing Baek Dong-Joo, is one of the points that made me want to watch the Korean drama: May I Help You. Hyeri's acting never disappoints.

Included in this drama, his acting chemistry with Lee Jun-Young who plays Kim Tae-Hee, is really intense.

As well as sentences that really hit the conversation, like a message to Seo Gang's husband who wanted to end his life when his beloved wife died along with the baby she was carrying:

If you are alive you must live
So that it is not painful for the dead

Unfortunate, failed in execution.

Good thing it's only 10 episodes!

The direction of the Korean drama “Oh! Young-Sim” is really unclear. If you want to call it a comedy drama, how come there aren't any funny scenes? If you want to call it a romantic drama, how come there is no chemistry between the two main actors: Song Ha-Yoon and Lee Dong-Hae.

It's no wonder that comments from asianwiki.com readers appear:

“Good actor/actress but bad director/script writer silly! this is the first time i saw romcom serial but im tired to watch it”

Yes, totally agree. I decided to watch this drama because I missed Song Ha-Yoon's acting, which I had seen in the Korean drama "Devilish Charm", and in this drama played Oh Young-Sim.

Meanwhile, Lee Dong-Hae, who played Mark Wang Kyung Tae, I was curious about acting in the K-pop boy band "Super Junior", because at first I only thought Choi Si-Won, a member of Suju, had entered the world of acting.

Lee Dong-Hae's acting was not bad, although Choi Si-Won's acting was even better. The reason may be that Choi Si-Won's flying hours are longer.

But the most annoying is the series of stories. Some plots feel rushed while others are slow and twisty. Even though the idea of a story about a 14-year-old girl and her puppy love is very interesting, you know.

Unfortunately, yes it is very unfortunate, failed in execution.

The Stupid Holy Priest's Story!

That's ridiculous. Instead of being scary at the devil, I even laughed! In fact, a mydramalist reviewer commented: "The stupidest Kdrama I've ever watched".

Wow!
Because the concept is not clear. The analogy is, the God we have been worshiping is actually the Devil, maybe not? It's not possible right? God is the embodiment of the holy thing, while the devil is the evil thing. White vs black.

So that there is no confusion. If you want to change it, there must be a mutual agreement.
If not, there will be confusion like when watching the drama "The Heavenly Idol", how is it possible that the holy path which requires the law of celibacy, so that the perpetrators have divine powers (able to heal people), are actually led by a devil?

Instead of messing up the concept and imposition of an artist manager as a hero, why not focus on the story of the journey of a boy band that was finally successful? The story of the devil and others as background aja.

There's a Korean drama that tells the story of a boyband as a hero who manages to fight demons.

Even though it was pretty fun at first, you know. About a pontifex (priest) who used to live a holy life, now he has to unbutton his shirt to look sexy. Also the daily life of the boyband is really sad, sleeping in a cramped house and having to maintain a diet by avoiding carbohydrates.

A funny incident occurred when the priest Rembary and the grim reaper Sa Gam-Jae had to create a profile using a computer. Turns out they can't! Yes, yes, a creature in the middle of nowhere understands computers?

Unfortunately that's the only decent point. The rest is annoying. We put aside the factor of actors/actresses who have just taken on the main role, after all, Kim Min-Kyu has played the second lead quite often. One of them as Cha Sung-Hoon in the Korean drama "Business Proposal".

The scenario writer failed to compose the character of each character as a whole. The music is okay. However, what is most upsetting is the afterlife cinematography and the sober world of Dewi Redlin.

Now is the CGI era, you know, when the throne for the leader of the afterlife uses a sageuk drama setting? It's been looking really lazy since the Korean drama "The Uncanny Counter" which also tells about the heavenly kingdom. Compared to the CGI Chinese drama "Immortal Samsara", the difference is like the earth and the sky.

No wonder the South Korean audience "punished" the Korean drama "The Heavenly Idol" with a low rating. After successfully seizing the audience's interest with 3,407% in the initial episode for the Seoul area, the final episode was only 1,546%.

Nationwide ratings also showed the frustration of the Korean population, in the initial episode it managed to get a rating of 3,098%, the Korean drama "The Heavenly Idol" was only able to reach a rating of 1,369% in the final episode.

If you have this, who is "bad"?

Don't hesitate to say love

As a seasoned actor/actress, both Yoo In-Na as Yeon Bo-Ra, and Yoon Hyun-Min as Lee Su-Hyeok, showed their quality. The chemistry between the two is very strong.

When Bo-Ra cried bitterly in Lee Su-Hyeok's arms, it felt like her heart was being torn apart.

And in another scene, laughing out loud when Bo-Ra fights with her ex-boyfriend, Noh Ju-Wan in front of a garbage truck.

Bo-Ra shouted at the garbage man while pointing at Noh Ju-Wan:

"Sir, there is still trash, please dispose of this trash."

To which Noh Ju-Wan answered: "If I'm trash, you're going out with trash."

Genuinely laughs hard, especially when Bo-Ra swears at Noh Ju-Wan:

"You are toxic waste that will no longer be able to be recycled".
The premise of the Korean drama "Bora Deborah" is actually just about a woman trying to get back up after being dumped by her boyfriend. So exciting after being told that this woman is a love consultant.

If something bothers you, it happened in the final scene of episode 14. For some reason Lee Su-Hyeok is being pretentiously cute.

Another upsetting thing is the story of the young girl Bang U-Ri who has a crush on Han Sang-Jin, the middle-aged CEO of Jinlee Publishing. The chemistry between the two is really bad.

That's all. Overall Korean drama Bora! Deborah is highly recommended. Not only for those who are exploring relationships, also for married couples.

Oh yes, even though it is about the love affairs of 4 couples, there are no bed scenes in the Korean drama “Bora! Deborah”. And there's no need either. After all, it can be illustrated by other scenes, such as the scene of Yeon Bo-Mi -Yang Jin-Ho who is nervous waiting for the results of the test pack.

If they don't do it, why are they nervous?

A love story in Samdal-ri village

Finally... after being annoyed with 3 Korean dramas that are the same and make you boring, such as the curse of the past (Korean drama A Good Day to be a Dog), the story of love that never ends (My Demon), and the story of a husband who died on his wedding night (The Story Of Park's Marriage Contract ), dramas that resolve problems hundreds of years ago in the present century.

There is a Korean drama that makes you "smart", namely the Korean drama Welcome to Samdal-ri which tells the story of Korean culture and the daily lives of its people, especially rural communities. Similar to the Korean drama "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha", but it's better because the Korean drama "Welcome to Samdal-ri" captures Haenyeo's daily life more specifically.

The plot of the Korean drama "Welcome to Samdal-ri" is not adventurous. The advantage lies in the clever combination of scenes and dialogue, neat cinematography, and the actors who act very well.

Talking about acting, I'm surprised why I didn't like Shin Hae-Sun, who plays Cho Sam-Dal. ?? I didn't like it so much, I didn't move when the actress who started her career as a supporting actor won Best Actress in the Korean drama "Angel's Last Mission" and just watched her acting again in the Korean drama "Mr. Queen” which is really awesome with a rating of 18.5%.

Together with Ji Chang-Wook, Shin Hae-Sun acted well. The chemistry between the two is adorable. It's not surprising that many people find it difficult to move on after watching this drama.

The acting of the supporting actresses/actors is no less stunning. That's the advantage of Korean dramas, right? Look at the acting of Baek Hyun-Joo who plays Oh Geum-Sool, one of the haenyeo.

The appearance of Baek Hyun-Joo as Wang Gyeong-Tae's mother, the main character's best friend, feels right. Typical village woman with a shrill voice who likes to gossip and sometimes gossip.

And of course the appearance of senior actress Kim Mi-Kyung who plays haenyeo Ko Mi-Ja, the life giver in this drama.

And finally, we must appreciate the writer's efforts to present scenes that trigger adrenaline. In the final episodes, confusion arises when journalists who want to "invade" Cho Sam-Dal's (Shin Hae-Sun) privacy, arrive at the same time as plans to hold an exhibition in Samdal-ri village.

Help comes from Cho Yong-Pil (Ji Chang-Wook) who mobilizes the haenyeo fleet with his signature vehicles, deceiving the existence of the exhibition from the reporters' coverage.

It's a bit over the top, but okay. Small explosions are often needed in dramas so that the audience changes their assessment, from boring to recommended.

Devastated by cheating

"My husband? Oh he's dead,” replied doctor Cha, when his superiors asked about the whereabouts of her husband. A spontaneous answer that made doctor Seo, doctor Cha's husband, spit out the contents of his mouth.

It's an epic scene. The way of revenge that might be greeted by cheers from the audience with the words "feel you!" Because he was carried away by what doctor Cha experienced, after 20 years of "serving" his family, eh was even considered a "wingking sidekick".

Derived from the Javanese language, "Konco wingking" can be interpreted as a wife whose job is only to be behind. It is needed, because it is always ready to make sacrifices, otherwise the husband is reluctant to sacrifice for him.

And it's so tiring! No wonder, in his anger, doctor Cha Jeong-Suk (Uhm Jung-Hwa) said to her husband:

Yes, I deliberately did not think about your position

I want to put myself first from now on

I just enjoyed another life outside the house

I can't stop now

This is my last chance

Anger that really relates to the condition of the majority of women who decide to leave their careers in order to be able to fully care for their families.

Sacrifice annoyingly answered by Seo In-Ho , Cha Jeong-Suk's husband played by Kim Byung-Chul:

"You don't play a role in owning family assets, do you?"

(( Huh I want to punch Seo In-Ho ?? ))

Smart dialogue, a continuous storyline and qualified acting from senior actresses/actors as the main characters, are the reasons audiences love the Korean drama "Doctor Cha", so they managed to get a rating in the final episode of 18.546% (nationwide) and 19.383% (Seoul)

It's strange that the mydramalist reviewers only gave a rating of 8.1 (average number) because some gave a rating of 1.5 and even 1.0 for this drama. The majority of reviewers regretted that Doctor Cha finally chose to live alone. He refused the love of doctor Roy Kim who was dashing and too handsome.

The protest of the audience who were disappointed with the happy ending of the Korean drama "Doctor Cha", was answered by director Kim Dae-Jin that the ending was in accordance with the wishes of writernim Jung Yeo-Rang.

Honestly, I agree with the ending. Happy ending doesn't always mean that the main female character has to be with the main male character. Marriage is not as easy as turning the hand.

Especially the case of marriage like doctor Cha. After 20 years of sacrifice, they are considered "nothing" and cheated on.

Everyone has the right to be happy, and everyone has a different path to happiness.

That is what must be understood, so as not to go with the flow: "When are you getting married?" "When are you having children?" etc.

The premise of the Chinese drama "She and Her Perfect Husband" is actually very simple, which is about a child who is forced to marry.

But herein lies the challenge. Screenwriters must be able to develop it, and present it sequentially. And make the audience want to watch the next episode.

The actress/actor must also be good at acting and be liked by the audience. Yang Mi as Qin Shi, described above, is a top star. He is always able to keep up with his co-stars, including Xu Kai, an actor who is 9 years younger.

Xu Kai has not been in the world of acting for too long, but has won an award from Forbes China as an influential young man aged under 30 (2019).

As a result, the Chinese drama "She and Her Perfect Husband" is very sweet and warm. Reminds me of the Chinese drama "Love Designer" which is not only about the relationship between lovers, but also the nano-nano relationship between parents and children: spicy, sour, and sweet.

Supported by sweet songs that make you melt, the Chinese drama "She and Her Perfect Husband" is complete as a drama that is recommended to be enjoyed on weekends.

To be honest, I watched the Korean drama "Shadow Detective" because I was interested in the acting of the main character, Lee Sung-Min, who played an old police officer, Kim Taek-Rok.
In the Korean drama "Reborn Rich", Lee Sung-Min acted brilliantly as Jin Yang-Cheol, the conglomerate owner of the Soonyang Group. In the drama that takes the story of the Samsung chaebol, Lee Sung-Min successfully gives life to the entire episode.

Likewise with the Korean drama "Shadow Detective". It's as if the audience meets a police detective who, in his old age, has to live in a slum. He also still has to work physically, such as running and fighting.

But that doesn't mean the audience is sorry. Precisely amazed, because with its ability to detect any criminal action. It's a shame that his heart is too kind, so he was deceived by an enemy in a blanket.

The game of facial expressions is Lee Sung-Min's strength. Supported by cinematography, selection of costumes and the number of episodes which are only 8, makes me not hesitate to give the Korean drama "Shadow Detective" an 8/10 rating.

Why not nine? Because there are many holes in the series of stories. Like the video of Woo Hyun-Seok's death, which was suddenly found on a cell phone that was entrusted to the owner of the Mokro Stall. How could a dead person walk around to leave his cell phone?

Even though the world has entered the era of industry 5.0, it seems that such technology does not yet exist.

A cheap drama that makes it hard to move on!

Imagine, in the Joseon era there were pornographic comics! How do you multiply it? In that era, they did not know about printing presses, nor did they have electricity.

But yeah, it's a joke. Reminds me of the Korean drama Mr Queen, which both use a sageuk/kingdom theme and make a play on contemporary culture that makes me laugh.

The sageuk theme has its own charm. Many sageuk lovers watch without caring about the actors/actresses and story ideas, including me. ?? Almost all sageuk-themed Korean dramas, I devoured them.

Adapted from the webtoon "Geumhonryeong: Joseon Honin Geumjiryeong" (금혼령-조선혼인금지령) by Chun Ji Hye (천지혜), connoisseurs of this webtoon will surely laugh and be curious about the continuation.

Likewise with the Korean drama: The Forbidden Marriage, many scenes invite smiles and laughter. The early episodes seemed to flow smoothly. Park Ju-Hyun's acting as Ye So-Rang is maximally explored.

No wonder, together with Kim Young-Dae (King Lee Heon), Park Ju-Hyun won the 2022 MBC Drama Awards – as Excellent Actress. Even though this chubby-cheeked actress is new, in the Korean drama ‘Mouse’ she only appears as a supporting actor.

It's a shame that the final episodes of the Korean drama: The Forbidden Marriage are a bit loose. But it's still fun to enjoy. The music that makes up the whole scene, the adorable chemistry of Park Ju-Hyun and Kim Young-Dae, and the slick cinematography, make this drama audience not mind rewatching.

United For Serial Murder

A cool drama…….??

Starting from a coherent story. Nice plot twists. The music really hits, and makes the audience dissolve. Even the glimpse of the torture on the victim is not horrified or disgusted.

Salute to the selection of actors / actresses that are done properly. Lee Kyu-Hyung often gets the role of a "cold" figure like in the Korean drama Doctor John. In the Korean drama May It Please The Court, Lee Kyu-Hyung becomes Jwa Si-Baek who is smart, cold but can joke around at certain times.

Likewise Jung Ryeo-Won, this 41-year-old beautiful actress is already well versed in acting as a law enforcer, such as in Korea Diary of a Prosecutor, Korean drama Witch at Court. In the Korean drama May It Please The Court, No Chak Hee succeeded in playing the arrogant, hardworking and intelligent

The 12 episodes felt solid and made me curious about the next episode, perhaps due to the skill of screenwriters Kim Dan and Jung Hye-Jin in concocting stories. The success is inseparable from Jung Hye-Jin's role as the original writer of the drama based on the novel "Byeonloneul Shijakhagekseubmida" (published December 6, 2019 by Miraeuichang).

Without excessive narration, the audience is invited to understand the story from the very first episode. Rows of luxury cars come on pilgrimage to the cemetery. Then a group photo scene appears, to explain the position of No Chak-Hee, a child of a household servant who has to live in high society, but still experiences discrimination.

There are many interesting figures in the Korean drama May It Please The Court, including police detective Jung Jae-Geun whose hobby is making up murder backgrounds.

Luckily his position as a lawyer does not have the power to arrest people. If he was a police detective, wow that could be dangerous! It is said that he wanted to arrest Jwa Si-Baek (Lee Kyu-Hyung) because he did not like this lawyer, and was confident that he could get a confession after torturing him. Oh my gosh!

Typical of old-fashioned police whose hobby is forcing people who are considered suspects. No wonder they never caught the wrong person.

If I had to criticize: The 12 episode count is noticeably lacking. There should be 16 episodes, so that viewers can watch it more comfortably, because the Korean drama May It Please The Court is full of crime stories, and even though they are connected, each perpetrator has a different history of crime.

It's hard to take care of actresses

what sensation do you feel when you go through a long road with views on either side? Maybe it's just "just knowing", but you don't really get into the beauty/ugliness, do you?

More or less like that is felt when watching the Korean drama Shooting Stars. The audience is invited to take a straight path with flashes of fragments of the stories of celebrities and the people who work behind them. Less 'deep' so it doesn't feel intense.

It would be better if the story of the Korean drama Shooting Stars was taken from an angle like the Korean drama ‘Record of Youth’ and the Korean drama ‘Now, We Are Breaking Up’ which tells the whole story of the family and friendship of 3 women. So that the audience can dissolve and enjoy the whole drama.

A less 'deep' story, possibly causing the Korean drama Shooting Stars to only be able to gain 1..% during broadcast (16 episodes), and closed with a rating of 1.477% at the end of the episode.

Even though this drama is studded with stars. The main cast is also very great: Lee Sung Kyung and Kim Young-Dae whose chemistry is really good

There doesn't seem to be an age difference between the two. The more senior factor, Lee Sung Kyung (6 years older) is likely to be his skill at melting the difference in flying hours. Including when playing a student, Lee Sung Kyung (32 years) does not look old, and still fits in her 20s.

If there is anything that is a hindrance, it is Lee Sung Kyung's attachment as the brand ambassador of Chanel Beauty so that her clothes, cosmetics and accessories look luxurious, not in accordance with her role as an office worker.

The rest is okay. Including ost and cinematography that spoils the eye. Including several spots when Kim Young-Dae (Gong Tae-Sung) was in Africa, really cool.

As well as an important message, anyone can become a top star. But you have to process it, don't get famous and have a lot of money.

The Last Supper

why? Both aired on KBS, how come the Korean drama The Kings Affection is superior to the Korean drama Moonshine?

This advantage can be seen from the rating of 12.1% in the last episode of the Korean drama The Kings Affection, while the Korean drama Moonshine only got 5.9%. Once it was 7.5% in the initial episode, but it continued to sag until it reached that number.

The awards were also dominated by the Korean drama The Kings Affection with 5 awards, while the Korean drama Moonshine only got 3 awards.

So, in my opinion, Korean drama: The Kings Affection is boring, especially when it reaches dozens of episodes. It feels so long.

Was it because of the good ratings that it was extended to 20 episodes?

As we know, Korean dramas that can reach a 2-digit rating generally consist of many episodes, such as the Korean drama My Only One (106 episodes) which managed to break through 46.6 - 52.4 percent, the Korean drama Homemade Love Story (50 episodes). with a rating of 32.9% in the last episode.

So, my temporary conclusion (because I didn't use in-depth research hehehe), Korean people like soap operas that are long and convoluted, so the Korean drama: The Kings Affection, which should have finished in 16 episodes (or even 12 episodes?) Was extended for the sake of satisfaction. Korean audience.

Admittedly, there are some advantages to Korean drama: The Kings Affection, such as the story which is continuous and flows smoothly, although it often doesn't make you curious to see the next episode.

Also, the OSTs are very superior compared to the Korean drama Moonshine, namely: Shadow of you (SUPER JUNIOR-K.R.Y), One and Only (Lyn) and If I (Baek Ji-young) …… huhuhu makes me cry

In addition, the writer-nim's decision when composing the Dam-i/ scene played by Park Eun-Bin when dealing with his grandfather Han Ki-Jae (played by Yoon Je-Moon) was really good. As a senior actor, Yoon Je-Moon is indeed a coconut elder. The older the more coconut milk.

How about Park Eun-Bin who acted perfectly in the Korean drama Extraordinary Attorney Woo (gained a rating of 19.210% in the last episode)? That's cool. He successfully disguised himself as a real king, despite his petite body. But she's a girl right?

But the character I like the most in Korean drama: The Kings Affection, is Jung Seok-Jo, played by Bae Soo-Bin. He is a cold-blooded killer, the right-hand man of Dam-i/ Lee Hwi's grandfather, also Jung Ji-Un's biological father.

In Korean dramas with non-kingdom themes, Bae Soo-Bin often gets antagonistic roles. In fact, he became a specialist actor who cheated on the main female character, such as in the Korean drama A Pledge To God and the Korean drama Secret Love. Makes the audience excited: I want to hit him! Hehehe??

Lha in this drama, how come the task: sret..sret..sret. …kill people! No wonder the writer-nim's concoction for the scene of Jung Ji Un's father's conversion is very touching.

So, do you recommend this Korean drama: The Kings Affection?

Mmmmm…. whatever. The score is 11-12 with the Korean drama: The Red Sleeve which aired on MBC, and received many awards from MBC.

KBS apparently didn't want to lose, so it awarded many awards for Korean drama: The King's Affection, namely:

2021 KBS Drama Awards - December 31, 2021

Best Actress (Park Eun-Bin)
Best New Actor (Ro Woon)
Best Youth Actress (Choi Myung-Bin)
Netizen Award (Ro Woon & Park Eun-Bin)
Best Couple Award (Ro Woon & Park Eun-Bin)

Enemy in the Blanket

Really like it!

Korean drama: Moonshine is a mix of sweet, cute, excited to funny that makes you want to laugh.

One of the reasons is that the character Gye Sang-Mok, played by Hong Wan-Pyo, was originally annoying. As a thug her job extorts money, including Kang Ro Seo, which makes this girl owe Gye Sang-Mok a lot.

But instead of being afraid, Kang Ro Seo even dared to grab Gye Sang-Mok, until the thug's hair was bald. Angry to the top, Gye Sang-Mok went back and forth to chase Kang Ro Seo.

The chase ends when Gye Sang-Mok gets hit and falls off a cliff. Gye Sang-Mok has amnesia and turns obedient to Kang Ro Seo. "I don't know why, I'm always scared when I see that girl," he said. Hehehe yeah yeah.??

Kang Ro Seo's heroism really stands out in Korean dramas: Moonshine, something that I have encountered more often in Chinese dramas with royal themes, compared to Korean dramas which strictly follow patriarchal rules.

What also makes Korean drama: Moonshine a must-watch is its deep moral message, especially about friendship. Like the friendship between Crown Prince Lee Pyo, Kang Ro Seo, Nam Young and the Minister of War's son, Han Yae-Jin.

There are 3 types of friends that are useful to have:

Moral friend
A reliable friend
Insightful friend

Said Nam Young when Prince Lee Pyo reminded them of the meaning of their friendship.

Likewise, the friendship between Kang Ro Seo's father and the trouble maker, Chief Royal Secretary, Lee Shi-Heum. Before being beheaded Lee Shi-Heum remembered their conversation:

Flowers wither after blooming
The moon is getting smaller after the full moon
If you have friends to age and drink with
Then it will take away the worries of a century

Because that's what friends are supposed to be like, right? Can be a friend to confide in, a friend who can be relied upon and a friend who will remind you if you have strayed from the track you should be on.
