I'm not sure I'd describe what Jin Zhao felt initially (or later) toward CYY was instinct or a lack of feeling…
I don't care for it. I've seen women's lives ruined by jealous men that don't listen to reason and just fester in their insecurities. Some of those women even end up dead. Reactions like that are usually just the start or worse and worse behavior to come. He blew everything out of proportion because it was more important for him to believe in the words of another man, than try to communicate with his wife and find out what exactly happened. Even when he knew, his feelings were more important than her. She would have lived her best life without being married to any of those men, being with her family and growing her businesses. And of course it's fiction, and those were different times, but I don't like what his character symbolizes and that's my prerogative.
Are you talking about Ye Xian that she was too afraid to tell him she going to get marry?
Ye Xian was an unstable guy, ofc people were scared of his reactions. CYY was supposedly the "better" man. Yes, he was jealous of Ye Xian. He got just as jealous when Ye Xian went with that painting before their wedding and CYY threw him in the rain on top of the painting . He already knew Jin Zhao loved him, chose him, yet he still need to act all alpha with these other guys and it wasn't to protect her, it was because his pride was hurt. Only insecure guys act like this.
I wasn't talking about the marriage news. She kept it a secret from CYY that he sad a crush on his nephew years ago and that he went crazy over her after that, causing trouble. She didn't trust CYY would react well, she didn't trust him, and for good reason.

No, she didn't, she held on to secret until it could not longer be hidden. The ML stated himself he couldn't stand knowing she loved another man before him, that he wasn't the first. Yuck. Simping after men just because they're handsome and manly when they have such low EQ is so overrated. These ML characters always have hoards of defenders while the FL always get the short stick. Misogyny at it's finest.
Man, this took such a nose dive after episode 30, what a disappointment. It just proved Jin Zhao first instinct to not want to get married to CYY was right. His jealousy was so disgusting, he acted like manosphere chads that treat a woman like a possession. She had a crush on Xuan Qing when she was 15 and she saw him like 3 times!!! It wasn't even a first love. Just because that maniac was obsessed with her doesn't make it true. The fact that she doesn't trust CYY enough to tell him what's going on is proof enough she doesn't feel safe enough with him. And weirdly enough, despite his many flaws, she would have told Ye Xian. But all in all CYY had no right to treat her like that, it wasn't her fault.
I didn't say To My Shore is rainbows and puppies in general. It is compared this this show. At least for me. Because there, despite the horrible gaslighting, the ML didn't kidnap, repeatedly violate, strangle, torture the MC.
Fantastic acting! But may this kind of love never find me! From the obsessive, violent, manipulative, grapist, psycho Lu Feng (regardless of his love-sick status) who really doesn't know to let go, to the horrible controlling, manipulative parents not giving a shit about their kids, to the obsessive, controlling, manipulative didi, to the self-esteem into the abyss Yi Chen that is just a leaf in the wind, letting other people abuse and walk all over him, to him being an indecisive lover who can't stand up to him family, to the sickly/incesty relationship he has with his didi, it's so fucking weird. Not waking up from a coma would have been the better outcome for him. I'd rather die than have to be around those people.
And let me be clear, I dont think they should get back together. Too much has happened. The rapes, kidnapping.,…
Everybody in his life just makes him do as they please. There's something really broken inside of him, he wouldn't recognize healthy even if it hit him in the face. He'll never get away.
Maybe episodes 9 and 10 will change their minds, even a teensy bit?
I don't think it's just because they like Ayden because then they would have framed it like they adore Ayden despite not agreeing with this character. But in this case the narrative is Yi Chen made Lu Feng suffer, hence he "had it coming". I even saw people in comments say when Yi Chen was assaulted again that it was hot. I'd need a psychologist to explain this phenomenon to be cause I don't get it. The actors are indeed fantastic, which is why I'm still watching the show but and while I feel sorry for Lu Feng for being in pain, you don't do what he did to someone you love.
some haters just be spamming without even watching the whole thing
Some weirdos are screaming that this is pseudo incest drama because they can't be bothered to understand the ML and FL's moms are not blood relatives, ML's mom was taken in for a few years by FL's family and they call each other sister because that's what you call each other in Asia. The moms weren't even very in touch once they were adults and the kids didn't grow up together or to consider each other cousins, it's just a title thrown around. But the people refuse to get it.
