all my love goes to Inoue Mao and Satoh Takeru. they carried this weak script. Inoue Mao made me cry a lot. she became a fine actress and I will always fondly remember her for Hana Yori Dango. the writer tried to mesh a few genres but sadly it didn't work for me. even the music choice is weird. one flashback let me know who the killer is so the suspense was dead. the dynamic between the leads kept me going and emotionally invested. Mao and Satoh did very well.
this drama was hard carried by the two leads especially zhao lusi. Chen Zhe Yuan played his role too flirty cause you can't tell me Sang Zhi was his first girlfriend with the way he was moving. 😂 the writing was meh but the chemistry was fire and that's the only thing I liked about this show.
what a beautiful drama this is. every episode with grandma made me cry. like others before me said some lines in this drama are so touching. I haven't seen such heartfelt writing in a while. they also introduced us to one of the most lovable ML out there. a lead with low confidence who comes out his shell was wonderful to see. FL is a person that everyone needs in their life. her words are a balm to the soul when you are suffering with self-esteem issues.
10/10 I'm in awe. I connected so much with the daughter and couldn't stop crying watching the last 2 episodes. the writers did a really good job tackling such a heavy topic. I will never forget this drama.
the cinematography and acting was top-notch. the plot was lacking like why is police surveillance not happening in this drama and the last episode was too dramatic for me. he ping unraveling like that after controlling his murder buddies and using the media to his advantage is a bit much. I still enjoyed the drama a lot. great characters and the portrayal of the media is spot on.
I liked it. more realistic than most romance dramas. 10 episodes still felt too long for the story they told. nabi knows he's an asshole and it won't end well but she chooses to follow her libido. 😅 I don't get people that want her to date the SML. just because someone is nice to you and likes you doesn't mean you need to date him. are men being told to date a girl because she's nice to them and has feelings? I would prefer she ended up single but it wouldn't suit the story. nevertheless is the title and every episode made me feel that's the way their story will go. at least as a viewer you feel no sympathy for her. she knows what she is getting into.
I enjoyed the ending and that's it about this season. s1 was amazing and s2 gave me what I don't really like about jdramas. preachy conversations that think they are so deep but executed below par in every aspect. I also saw more dead people in the show than the little boy from sixth sense. 🤣 it's still an enjoyable show but it just didn't meet my own high expectations.
I'm rewatching and I shed a little tear about the set design, costumes and CGI. Dongfang and Chang Heng visiting Orchid's master was so beautiful on the eyes that it made me cry. it's a bit embarrassing but this genre had so much shit coming out of that department in the last couple of years. finally a production company that gives a damn about every aspect of a fantasy drama.
I really thought there would never be another drama enthralling me like Eternal Love but it's finally here. it's not on the same epic level but not far behind. a bit worried about the endling because it's a xianxia. YSX is a natural charmer and Dylan Wang is simply amazing. you see his kind of role alot in dramas and not many pull it off so well. I love the attention to detail from the production crew. too many xianxia dramas look cheap and devoid of any imagination. thank god it's only 36 episodes, can't stand dragging on a drama with fillers and endless melo. the story isn't too deep but the writer does a good job in making us understand the motives of the characters. probably need to wait another 5 years for a great xianxia 😥
I wasn't a dropper for a few years but when you have seen it all you get picky in all departments. your standards for acting, directing, editing and writing go slightly up and I can't be bothered anymore with mediocrity. I even drop dramas because of the supporting actors despite liking the leads. no faith in a director who approves bad acting from supports so I drop.
I enjoyed this drama very much. The directing and acting is top-notch. I loved Ping Ping the most. A wonderful little actor who brought me to tears with his innocence and natural charm. Minor flaws are FLs pride and stubbornness and Sun dying like that was crazy. I still like her character because she's flawed and nobody is perfect. Most dramas would have switched Ml/Fl personalities. It's the writers fault because she blames Nie dad without evidence but at the end it's her pride that kept her distant and aloof. They took the "I'm independent and need no rich people money" trope to far imo. I still consider it a minor flaw and it didn't lessen my enjoyment.

as far as I can remember School 2015 is the only time I got SLS but only because of the script. the writer gave the SL so much screentime and character development so it felt like I had no choice then wanting him ending up with the girl. Nam Joo Hyuk acting wasn't that great either in the show.
I don't get SLS. SL is only there to be good to the girl and that's such a flat character to me. His only character trait is being infatuated and it's not good enough.

Imo they are great actors and have a shit-ton of chemistry. We still have 3 episodes to go and my only wish is that those two won't disappoint me acting-wise. My expectations for thai bls are low after watching so many bad series. In the last two years I only loved Itsay + Moon and Tharntype.

Teh having sex with Oh like a homework assignment from his teacher and then showing us that he has not even the basic respect for his partner of 3 years. Imo there is a difference between thoughts and actions. Attraction is normal but leave your tongue out of it.

I'm so relieved after the first episode. The new director did a great job, cinematography is as gorgeous as S1, good editing and amazing acting from everybody. After 10 minutes in I'm crying because Teh has come so far and Oh gets the love he deserves. the aquarium scene messed me up and I wondered what's wrong with me. ;) My expectations for the rest of the drama are ridiculously high now.
