Honestly idk but I've been reading comments here of people calling it low budget and how they're really disappointed in it... I myself don't see it bc to me it looks so beautiful! I love the scenery and I love how everything is captured. I also love the outfits and the martial arts scenes. Idk how ppl are not liking it. Sometimes it feels like we are watching smth different.
And actually, for MLC, I remember when it was just new and wasn't sure if I'd like it (tho I saw the rating was really high) bc the budget did look low to me. But in the end, I ended up loving it to the point that I rated it 10! Thank goodness I didn't delay much in watching it when I found out about it in late 2023 to early 2024.

It will be my 3rd Chengyi drama I'm rating 10 if that's the case! As someone who loves MLC, I am so loving this drama. I already knew from the trailer it gave so much of that vibe. And I am so loving Ming Ming. He really reminds me of Li Lianhua due to his comedic self 😂 The way I only finished the first episode and I am enjoying every bit of it! I am surprised for those who find it boring... but anyways 10/10 so far (I know thats way too early lmao but this is like my most anticipated drama of the year alongside Shui Long Yin lol)....

As a shipper of the two male leads... who can see the love in their eyes for each other... well, it feels like a BL to me lol. If you'd like to watch it for that, then you def should watch it (despite the ML having a romantic partner). Their chemistry is INSANE! I be crying and smiling every time I watch them on screen together (in the second half)... (they actually do cry and smile at each other A LOT hahaha I can't even keep count how many times they did... THEY WERE LITERALLY SO IN LOVE WITH EACH OTHER!) Yuanzhou is such a flirt in the first half LOL!
So many of us were shipping the 2 MLs while it was airing and wow, it was the best feeling ever!!! I can never forget that feeling! And every time an episode comes, we are like "HOW DID THIS PASS CENSORSHIP???" "IDK HOW THIS PASSED CENSORSHIP BUT I'M NOT COMPLAINING..." Also, the last scenes of Ep.34 + special episode I swear indicate that they are end game 😭
Personally, I am not a Wen Xiao x Yuanzhou shipper but I will say I do love their bickering. I just don't ship them romantically if yk what I mean... I personally do find the romance forced (well... maybe cuz the MLs' chemistry was INSANE????) but this is just me and many others love the romance a lot so don't let this stop you from watching it. You can literally just ship anyone with anyone! So many great ships in this drama. There's even GL hehe. I really love the 2 girls (Wen Xiao x Pei Sijing). I ship them too haha
Like someone said above, the 2 MLs are literally actually soulmates. ML said it himself! He called 2ML his soulmate!!!! 🥹🥹🥹 And there's also literally a scene where when asked, Yichen could not explain the love he has for Yuanzhou (it wasn't explicit but I already knew he was thinking about Yuanzhou when trying to find the words to describe it but just couldn't bc his love for him runs that deep 😭)....

Hope you watch this and the relationship between the 2MLs grow.
