This show is so much fun. What a way to start 2020 two with supernatural story, i do need some fantasy in my neverending boring life so this one is perfect for me.

Just another day of me linking this drama with literature bcs im obsessed 🗿 We have gotten "Prince and The Pauper" reference between 2Woong's past. I am now finding clue in our main couple and looking at their childhood, they become "Hansel & Gretel" to me.
It is a story about married couple who had no choice but to work all day and leave their children to the point of abandoning them. "Sleep when you are tired" said the father. That is how Woong The Hansel spent his time alone under the shade of tree. But latter on Yeonsoo comes into the picture as Gretel. She was also a child who was left all alone by an unfortunate accident. They become Hansel & Gretel who both got lost deep into the forest and only had each other to lean on. The story went on and they met Old Witch The "Grandmother" who separated these two pitiful children which was the root of their breakup. Hansel/Woong now got trapped on his own until Gretel/Yeonsoo helped him to get out of his cage. At the end, they found treasure of happiness by following the jujube trails on their way home.
The tale ends in happy ending but the original story is kinda eerie to me, especially reading the grandma/witch & stepmother who died in the end lol anyway this is one of my fav children story so I am thrilled when I can see the resemblance in Woong & Yeonsoo's childhood memories. just finished last ep!! mismolly and brand new child are on another level, i love their performances the most. im happy w the winner though, congratulationss!! everyone worked so hard <3
I really don't like or hate NJ..But I feel her character is a filler here.. she's an unnecessary character
I thought the same, skipped her part and the story would still be fine without her. When her plot came, the show vibe literally changed a lot and it was kinda out of place. I even found korean article talking how unneeded her character is lol 🤣
Maybe I shouldn't get disappointed this early bcs she just started showing up more last ep. But I am literally holding on my patience over 10 ep towards her bcs I actually expected more from the character tbh like pls befriend w Yeonsoo instead!😔
"At times, she'd extremely distant. Other times, she'd pull me closer and make time stop." This might be me just overthink the metaphor of time here. Woong draw a clock tower in ep. 9, with a clear straight lines. The clock drawing shows time almost at 8 o'clock, which could be mean 20. He has spent 20 years with Jiwoong since he was a child. The friendship between them has never stopped even once shown in the epilogue. That must be the other reason why he reached the conclusion of being friend. He thought with that straight reason, Yeonsoo would keep him closer, share her trouble, like Jiwoong did to him.
But, who knows the writer would play his time by making him watch Yeonsoo's happy footage? What was Woong thinking? Did he remember the happy moments from their dating days? or did he realize he wasn't the only person Yeonsoo show her soft side anymore? or maybe he noticed Jiwoong's feelings? The wrong themed-hard-disk glance probably a clue, but idk, what do you think? 🤷🏻♀️ Let me cry for the remaining days.
