the fact that they fired him when they normally dont (hes not the first gmmtv actor to get those controversies) kinda tells me that theres more to it....

if he learns and grows from his mistakes, im sure he will come back to acting in the future. what makes me question this is the fact that gmmtv fired him. its not the first time one of their actors has one of those controversies but its the first time i see them actually fire the person in question.

the difference being the fact that hes a public figure and reposting photos inciting hate towards the people hes representing in his series. i agree with giving people second chances but i dont think we should minimize his actions because of his age

i think it depends on how they handle it in the show. i dont think id feel that comfortable if they had intimate scene knowing her age. I still think that they made a weird decision when choosing the actress (not because she’s bad). Did they actually think people wouldnt react negatively? we had a similar situation happen in a Thai bl i was watching where one was 16 and the other 26. Even if it was acting, it was still weird and felt like a crime.

i think the purpose of this show wasn’t to say religion is bad. It’s more about the impact it can have on queer youth and how queerness and religion can coexist. There’s also a lot of interesting conversations happening. To be fair, if they turned this show into a anti religion series, it wouldnt have been any better. P’aof is known to write series that focus around hope, it was the same with last twilight. It wouldnt be like him to write something to shame a group of person, its also based on his own experience.

to be honest, MDL as a whole has questionable ratings. the fact that people can hate rate episodes before they air is stupid. So i wouldnt trust the app at all. It’s not just a bl thing, you should see the ratings for cdrama, its even worse hahaha. But in terms of this show, i do agree with the rating :)

tbf, its hard to even get an 8.8 and higher on mdl. dont mind it too much. it doesnt take away the fact that this show is good.
