Great cast and production, but story went stale
Production is incredible, but the story went boring very quickly. I started skipping scenes and eventually dropped it. I don't even remember what episode I started finding it boring. Like the entire leaving North Korea got old early on, and when she's actually gone back to Seoul, it's ridiculous how the story dragged further. I don't find the villains and their scheming nor the romance compelling. This drama should have been a movie now that I think about it. It should have just been 2 hours. Honestly can't see any chemistry with the leads too. They were showing a lot of backstory clips that are clearly impossible, but like props to the production, they were beautifully shot. Best drama of 2021
This is the best drama I've seen this year. This is a drama about attraction and how it grows in a way very similar to what we see in real life, how different people get to know each other and find common ground and connect, and everyday situations and how people behave with all the awkwardness and hilarity and earnestness!I've recommended it to so many people who also ended up loving it (including my boyfriend who started running again after watching this). This drama is brilliantly written and well-directed and produced.. The characters are all cleverly written, fleshed out, and very compelling (the acting and casting is spot-on). After watching episode 1 (particularly the pub street encounter scene), I was wowed how they wrote it, I found myself hooked. The writing is just so good that it feels deeper and richer after some rewatches. I am so happy I watched it. This drama inspired me to take on a couple of things I've always wanted to do in life, including picking up a third language (Korean)--and it was OMJ's scene where she said she decided to be a translator to act as a bridge to two languages that inspired me to learn Korean.

I'll do it right in the next life
I genuinely did not expect to get this emotionally invested in a show about horny coworkers, but here we are.What makes this series so addictive is how earnest it is underneath all the sex and absurdity. Everyone is a little messed up, everyone wants something different, and yet the show never really judges them for it. The recurring idea of “I’ll do it right in my next life” is funny, but also strangely sad, everyone is basically trying to figure out how to live this life without getting hurt.
I especially loved Momoe’s relationships with A-kun, Matsuda, and D-kun because they each reveal something completely different about her.
A-kun is probably the most bittersweet. (SPOILER) He has the perfect life on paper and is miserable because he’s spent his whole life being the person everyone expects him to be. Momoe becomes his escape: someone he can be selfish and imperfect with while still feeling completely desired. But eventually she realizes that loving someone doesn’t mean accepting everything they do to you. The fact that she can see his *“I miss you / I want to see you”* message, smile, and still choose not to reply is such a quiet but satisfying piece of growth.
(SPOILER) Then Matsuda slowly enters the picture. I love that he doesn’t magically “fix” her after A-kun. He knows she still has feelings for her ex, but instead of demanding that she resolve everything first, he takes her hand and keeps moving forward with her. Their relationship feels messy, tentative, and genuinely earned.
And D-kun… honestly, what a guy. 😂 He’s so wonderfully unbothered. He just likes Momoe’s company, has fun with her, and genuinely wants her to find someone she loves. No grand emotional agenda. No need to possess her. Just vibes.
Maybe that's why I love this show so much. It’s a show about people who are supposedly doing everything wrong, but somehow it has a lot of compassion for them.
Everyone says they’ll do it right in the next life.
But maybe the real lesson is that you don't get another life. You just have this one, messy and imperfect, and you might as well try to live it honestly.

The only value of this movie is discovering Kentaro Sakaguchi
Don't get me wrong. I like both Kento and Mirei a lot from a previous drama they were in, but the story and writing of this movie was just a huge let-down. I would prefer the movie ended with the montage of Kentaro and Mirei's relationship. Like the story beyond that is just ridiculous and downright foul. The humor and laugh factor is there for this (I mean with Kentaro Sakaguchi charming all of us in every scene he's in omg), and I think the actors really tried to carry the weight of the movie given the awful writing.
