The assistant girl of Su Ying was looking happy 😁 when everyone around her was sad for SY πŸ˜„...... Dear fellow…
Yun Meng. I honestly don't remember her in the novel. After BXS, I've decided to be weary of new characters. She's suspicious and is probably gonna resurrect SY. If not, she's definitely planning to do something sinister based from that smirk. πŸ‘€

You mean YH is going to confront LF on her own?
Not at all. She'll face LF together with her husband, probably during the war.~ Maybe after the Cheng Xing mountain arc, when YH and TY get together again.

Title Back from the Brink Spoiler
When you're a novel reader, its really hard to see some novel scenes change in the drama. When they cut the epic first face-off between Yan Hui and Ling Fei from the novel, I've also become so displeased. 'Cause it was one of my favorite scenes in the novel. They even replaced it with YH pointing a finger at TY and letting him fight Ling Fei ALONE, so frustrating (Ep 18).... In the novel, YH would declare, "My husband."/"I said I would protect you." and then TY would also say "Come back. We can leave together." I almost cried when it didn't happen because of the stabbing scene that was added earlier in the drama. ;;-;;

However, it doesn't mean I hate the drama for its changes. I still have high faith they would still show this epic scene in the future episodes. Most likely, after the couple reconciles because by then, they would've have also already gotten married "officially". The screenwriters may have just postponed this epic scene. The moment the drama added Ling Fei gathering Taoists to finally declare war with the spirits, I knew that this epic scene COULD still happen. I believe the screenwriters think it would be best to input this novel scene in the couple's "second face-off" with Ling Fei. Through the upcoming war. And I'm sure it will be an epic arc to look forward to!

Let's be optimistic together my friends.

This is why for me I didn't mind TY for not telling YH when he took the HPS because if he did we wouldn't have…
I honestly understand the frustration towards TY. But I agree with you that the slander towards him is indeed not quite right. When this arc passes on, I'm pretty sure we'd get a very satisfying redemption from both of them anyways.

I think you made a very clever pun there. πŸ‘ πŸ˜†

Right! Its been a year but I still recall making very long ass paragraphs especially when we make theories LMAO. πŸ˜† I miss those days...

One parallel I noticed is how both MLs try to do their best to earn the FL's trust again. It's bittersweet but satisfying. Maybe this is also why I loved IS and BFTB because it has the tropes I like. ❀️

Ohhh Yan Dan, yes! I can't believe I forgot about her. She was a very mature character. I remember smiling so much when they finally reconciled. I think I cried as well..... I mean it took such a long time for them to fix their relationship πŸ˜₯. This arc in BFTB is honestly nothing compared to Immortal Samsara's push and pull couple LMAO.

I also find it very interesting, that TY can look at his trauma from other (SY) side , I still think it's very…
Exactly. At the end of this arc, TY and YH would have already healed their deep scars from the past. Giving each other space and time, is beneficial for both of them during this time.

Love the way you described Yan Hui and Tian Yao's motivations. The moment they clear the misunderstandings, I would also be one of the firsts who will cheer for them! ❀️

We rarely get FLs whose so firm on rejecting an ML asking for forgiveness despite knowing the truth. I can only recall two FLs like this, Bai Qian and Shanggu. This actually feels more real of a reaction when FLs do this instead of just the "I understand him so I forgive him" trope. I honestly like that the writers chose for the MCs to go down this route.

I think the writers wanted to probe more on the consequences of "betrayal", a topic which was not really explored in the novel. If so, this is a good addition to the adaptation since the MCs now get to form a new kind of connection between them. This time, the HPS is not the only thing that binds their fate together anymore. After they both reconcile, I'm pretty sure nothing, not even death can break them apart.

It's indeed a frustrating arc but I'm sure this will only strengthen their soulmate bond in the end. This is such a great adaptation and I'm happy to see that there are a lot more people understanding YH's side as well.

Ok, guys calm down. I feel positive about the stabbing scene, because ... it comes sooner than I thought, I think…
Yep, makes sense. This is also exactly my thoughts while trying to stay optimistic....

But I'm still literally panicking cause that's still an important part of the plot so my senses is also telling we'd get another one near the end.... πŸ™ƒ

I hope Youku releases the MV for 梅槃 "Nirvana" soon. It's a beautiful song and in addition to the lyrics, the hum from 1:43 to 2:30 was so enchanting in its own right as well. ❀️

This one line from this song in particular is making me so emotional.... "Your heart is where my home is..." I'm definitely not crying just because of this one line... I'm not some softy....no... *cries* ;;-;;

Nope. He never did betray her in the novel. Yan Hui never betrayed him either. Those scenes you saw are not what…
Oh god no, he would never endanger Yan Hui's life. They already love each other so much during this scene. He only took it out for a short amount of time.

This could also be the scene where Su Ying was pretending to be Tian Yao. She attempted to take the HPS from Yan Hui and still failed.

These things I said are big spoilers LMAO.... I hope it wont ruin your experience watching the drama after knowing about it!

He didn't force her in that scene. Both parties formed an agreement before making the decision. Unless, they will change it in the drama.....

To the novel readers, does Tian yao ever hurt/betray the FL apart from the beginning stabbings to get the dragon…
Nope. He never did betray her in the novel. Yan Hui never betrayed him either. Those scenes you saw are not what they seem, there's a lot more to it.

(More spoilers in this thread below. Please read with caution.)

The gladiator arena episode and the couple's partnership there was a sight to behold. Specifically that scene where TY trusted and didn't even doubt YH when she said "Wait", just before he did the final blow. Their "tacit understanding" being depicted through this one scene was good enough for me.

"Yan Hui glanced at him. The two didn't exchange words, but they both understood each other's meaning. "

Their telepathic-like powers was one of the things I loved the most with this fictional couple while reading the novel. I really hope that the adaptation give us a lot more scenes like this.

I just learned that this one got released two days ago. So now I'm so late in joining the fun *cries*. Now I binged the latest episodes yesterday, AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS. This was a very light-hearted and fast-paced adaptation of the novel. And I think I really like it this way.

But anyways, who is this Bai Xiao Sang? I think I don't remember him in the novel.... Don't tell me he's a replacement for my Huan Xiao Yan... ;;-;;
