It ran a little slow in parts, but I really enjoyed this series. It was sort of a coming of age plot. I want to say I don't think it could've ended in any other way and felt satisfying for the character's overall growth, but this is one time I would have liked a "4 years later" or "the next summer" kind of ending. A sequel would be awesome. For a good portion of the series, I couldn't picture the characters getting together. They were both too "we're both boys!" with their actions. Which is okay and pretty realistic. I guess what I'm trying to say is, I want more.
HOW is this sitting at 7.6? Lost In The Woods is one of the best Thai BLs I've ever seen. It does what so few do, show off the beautiful, diverse Thailand in all its majesty. The original music is a reprieve to the ears from that usual copyright free slop. A slow build that fleshes out the characters as they overcome adversity with poignant themes of rejection and self-love. Both leads are handsome, with my personal favorite flashy city boy and stoic woodsman combination. Amazing budget, production design, cinematography, sound, acting, everything really… We need a season 2. I know it doesn't have much in the way of sexuality, but the romantic tension and bonding is through the roof! If you appreciate salient coming of age romantic dramas then please watch this. This was so so good.
The plot has potential, but it felt like a lot of details were just "skipped" to make this a 7 episodes series. Instead, they rather show redundant scenes that add no value to the plot. Personally would have like it better if they elaborate the main couple storylines more. Also adding random flashbacks of events happening a couple hours or a day ago doesn't help build up emotion or story. But the somewhat fast-forwarded story-telling style isn't that big of an issue to me. The bigger issue is how this story starts by disrespecting Fifa as an individual? Fresh out of highschool, and your family member blackmails you to not pursue your dream? Not to mention he is talented in the arts too (as shown throughout all 7 episodes) Again, it could be attributed to how the show isn't elaborating on anything or anyone's rationale for any storyline . But Fifa seems like the kindest kid being uprooted for no good reason, and trying to keep the peace for his family? Who put an 18 yo in that position?

Would like a season 2, because Fifa is such a kind and respectful boy and I want to see him achieve both his dreams and get his romantic life sorted.
I just discovered him from High School Frenemy (I’m very new to Thai dramas), and now I’m obsessed!
he’s sooo goodlooking omg🥹 he has the prettiest eyes and the prettiest smile! and he’s also such an incredible actor 💙 i saw some clips of his irl personality, and it’s basically the polar opposite of his character in HSF? the fact that he was able to pull off that character so well is actually incredible!

Who could have guessed that Pete chasing his man into the spirit world would leave me this wrecked? And I don’t mean a single, aesthetic tear sliding down his cheek. I mean full-on, can’t-breathe ugly crying that drags you straight into the wreckage with him. So if you find yourself breaking down alongside Pete, be kind to the delicate skin around your eyes. Moisturize. And whatever you do, don’t rub.
The episode opens with a reference to Zhuangzi’s butterfly dream, which finally makes sense of those recurring butterflies in the opening credits. The world Pete enters is governed by the “Great Void,” and its rule is merciless: stay longer than eight hours, and both souls are swallowed whole. Beneath all that beauty, the premise is ultimately a meditation on existence versus nothingness.
And as Pete keeps shouting Niran’s name into that emptiness, I caught myself wondering what “Niran” actually means in Thai. Strangely, it almost sounds like “Nani” spelled backwards. It feels familiar, yet not quite, carrying a faint sense of distance that makes his desperate calling feel even more hollow.
Then there’s the jade ring. The restraint is unreal. It is one of the most elegant, understated acts of shipping I have ever seen. No dramatic confession, just a quiet symbol loaded with cultural and emotional weight. Still, if I had been writing that scene, I might have let Pete say something far less restrained, and far more devastating:
“Come with me. Please. I need you. I don’t care how much you matter to anyone else. I can’t live without you.”
Because sometimes what truly destroys you is not the metaphor. It is hearing the words when there is no way out left.
