I lost it too :( in fact, I just watched the 8th episode and I can't describe how I feel.. regret or maybe longing…
It's definitely upsetting, I'd hate to work so hard on something that I want to share with others only for it to be locked up....off topic, but may I know what your profile pic is?

I wish they would at least release internationally so that the people who worked so hard making it can get some form of payment. It's one thing if they block it from being made, but to block it completely once it's already fully filmed doesn't seem right. I'm sad :(
I finally lost my battle in trying not to watch this. I was hoping if I kept waiting they'd eventually release the rest and I could binge it, but I got tired of waiting as a fan of the book. I wish they made it as far as the explosion, I really liked that scene and the following bits.
It's times like these I'm glad I have passable Japanese, because those subs were quite terrible. Sometimes they were fine, but other times they were so off base that they changed important meanings. I was also confused about how many of the names were wrong since they're phonetic, but I don't know how the translations were made so maybe that's a normal issue? Dunno. Interesting storyline, but could have been executed better. The colors were a bit too dark for me, and I could hardly see anything during fight scenes in the dark unless I turned the brightness all the way up and hid under my blanket. Kakeru's persona and overall character design kind of remind me of Poker Face from The Grave Robber's Chronicles, so that was fun.
That’s one of the reasons why Love and Redemption is my number one fav xianxia and cdrama. It has the best and…
With two of you now mentioning it, maybe I should go back and rewatch it after all. But no, too painful....Hm, maybe if I just watch the final arc it'll be fine, skip all the beginning and middle torture. I'll eventually rewatch the whole thing though! One day
The only xanxia I could think of with the best ending is Love and Redemption
Oof, thank you so much! I haven't been able to handle a rewatch because I feel too bad for the ML, but the first watch I really enjoyed. Can't believe I wiped that all from my memory, I was about to say I still couldn't remember anything, but then thinking about their child made everything come rushing back. So there we go, now I can say there is at least one xianxia that doesn't do the cliché ending, maybe because they technically already had that separation and angst....was it 9 lifetimes? So it was about time they got to be happy. xD
Honestly, off the top of my head I can't think of a single Xianxia that didn't do the the whole, one of the pair…
Agreed, and you make a good point with Untamed, they were happy and together in the book at the end and as the drama was downgraded to friendship there was no real reason to separate them at all. Also, you mentioned kdramas, I noticed that too. Especially with the ones I was watching. A lot of times they'd do the same thing and have the MC (usually male) die, or at least it certainly seems that way, and then have them show a maybe back view of them in the last minute and have the FL looking shocked and happy. Or the weird airport time skips. I always really hated that, but it seems they've stepped away from that in the last few years. Really hope China gets on board too, I feel like they'd be a lot more popular abroad (more so than now) and compete better with the top Korean/American/UK shows if they had more cohesive endings. (Clearly I'm a glutton for punishment though because I keep watching them anyway T-T) I'll have to thank Japan because they seem to always be unapologetically themselves(no catering), and most of the stuff that's in my preferred genre has had good, concise plots, and logical endings.
Dropped this after two episodes but decided to give it a second chance and now I'm on episode 7 (still not really…
I finally did it, only took me half a year and watching the last two episodes at 2x speed, but I did it 😭 So glad I'm done, it's not a particularly bad plot, but it's so draggy with a lot of annoying moments. Honestly wish I'd discovered the 2x speed button sooner.
Judging purely from the trailer: Darn, I really don't like loud, over-enthusiastic riders. I prefer calm ones like Ace. Oh well, hopefully the story makes up for it. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't.
I think....I'm getting (am definitely) tired of Cdrama endings. Is there some kind of formula outside of censorship…
Honestly, off the top of my head I can't think of a single Xianxia that didn't do the the whole, one of the pair dies and the other looks for them for years and years and either 1) never finds them, 2) maybe finds them but it remains unclear, 3) finds them in a usually disjointed way. Why can't they be solidly HE or solidly BE? They always feel like bad ends to me with a random happy end tacked on at the very end that doesn't flow very well, or rarely a happy end with a random bad end tacked on. --UNTAMED SPOILER --The only Xianxia (it is a Xianxia isn't it?) that I think I've watched that doesn't do this is the Untamed because they're both clearly alive at the end, but separate temporarily to do their own things. Which probably only happened since it's technically not a romance and just friendship.
I think....I'm getting (am definitely) tired of Cdrama endings. Is there some kind of formula outside of censorship that they have to follow for their Xianxia and sometimes Wuxia drama endings? Oh well, at least it was good overall minus some issues.

He's not even doing anything about the actual murderers? He just wishes death upon his friend/brother of many years even though he had no fault? The girl made her own decision as a consenting adult to be involved despite people persuading her not to? They've only been together what, a few weeks? But that's enough to throw away his friends and family? What utter nonsense and such poor characterization. Napat gave no indication in earlier episodes that he was such trash and was fairly loyal. If anything he should be going crazy trying to go after the murderers, not harass his friend at every occasion. Annoying. Not to mention on her dying breath his girlfriend asked him to appreciate and recognize how many people loved and cared for him, but instead ignored her wishes to be a maniac instead. I don't care if he's grieving, that's just not right.
Dropped this after two episodes but decided to give it a second chance and now I'm on episode 7 (still not really enjoying it, but have committed to finishing it), but wow, that one friend is such trash and his anger makes no sense and is so misplaced.
The end of episode 9 TTOTT I really wish his whole family witnessed that scene and not just his sister, they would have instantly understood how much he loves his school and life there. Also that song that played during the ending scene is great and so emotional, I ended up buying it lol
This show is right up my alley and I enjoyed it except for a few details but, phew, finished, and all I've got to say is this is why communication is important kids.....you can avoid a whole lot of angst, blood, and tears that way....
where did you watch this, can't find subs anywhere
Sorry, I know Japanese so I watched it raw :( Honestly though, I don't think you'd be missing much if you went straight to watching the movie. It felt like a very small intro to Tori's character, his abilities, and the cop, but mainly focused on the four cases within it. You can try and watch the raw? You might understand more than you think you will. Anyway, I wish you luck and hope someone subs it some day soon!
