I agree. I see Kono as the catalyst for change in Hayakawa and perhaps he's maintaining a boundary which kinda explains his almost cold distance. But, since production hasn't developed the Kono character, it really magnifies flaws in Hayakawa. Oddly, Kono feels like a side character to me.

NGL, General Dongcheon / Mother Sin in those rich fabrics and her Hwarang style got me feeling some kinda way. I love this actor and how she creates believable characters.

I'm hoping that 8' goes and the general steps forward, while disclosing the bad monk's boss. However, we're only 5 episodes in and I worry that we will get bogged down with 8' coming and going, while court intrigue ramps up. Anticipation for the backstory on 8' has piqued my interest.

The actor did a great job with the grandma character. She convinced me that through it all, she was an oppressive freeze-dried lemon on a stick!!!!!

That's an excellent point since grandma lacks accountability in most everything she does.
