Yes! I would love to see a literal translation of the names just out of curiosity. I have a feeling the subtitles translated the spirit of the discussion but substituted similar sounding words instead of the actual meaning of the Thai words. It might be even funnier in Thai. Either way that subtitle team deserves an award or something.

This is such a a pleasant surprise. I came in expecting a dramatic break up or slow drifting apart due to mis/non communication. Instead we get a strong relationship weathering the storms of working as rivals and hiding their relationship.

Save yourself! Run. Actually I think I've seen worse but I can't remember them. I also haven't officially dropped this one but I will definitely not be recommending it to anyone. the only redeeming feature is the eye candy the plot may throw a curve ball but so far my hopes are dropping, the execution is excruciating and most of the actors are mediocre. If you have time to waste I guess go ahead but please don't expect anything good.

This much sweet fluff in the first episode of a Japanese show usually means they will rip our hearts out in one way or another for most of the rest of the show. Brace for angst ahead!

Well ... this looks about as well directed as those drinks were shaken. I'll enjoy the scenery until the overlong stare shots and excessive flash backs drive me too crazy to continue. Maybe it will surprise me and actually have a plot somewhere down the line.

Worth it. It's hard to say which is better. the Thai lingers a little, explains some of the back story a little more explicitly and the story was originally written in Thai so some of the culture influenced some characters decisions and that doesn't translate as easily into the Japanese culture(I like the brighter colors and the actors are pure eye candy). Sofar the jp version is faster paced I think the acting is a little stronger and they place their camera shots very intentionally. I suggest you choose the culture you are more familiar with and be aware that the first few episodes feel like an excuse for plotless nc scenes but there is a plot that shows up later.

She definitely starts of a spineless but in my opinion she grows a spine later on.

This is much more wholesome than Revenged Love. Definitely give this a shot if you completed that one.

I'm enjoying it but the first couple encounters don't have enthusiastic consent on one side and some people have found that off putting.

(mostly straight woman here) my theory, based on no evidence or research, is that it's not necessarily straight men acting in gay roles but straight presenting men. Watching 2 people we find attractive fall in love with each other is fun. Straight woman do not usually find effeminate men attractive. I think it's the same reason straight men like to watch women going at it. I'm quite sure there are some of all flavors acting on and off screen in whatever way they and their managers think will earn them the most money with no regard to who they actually find attractive. ps who doesn't love a romcom full of attractive people it's like cotton candy for the brain.

Yeah, I could be wrong but I feel like she has a hunch about the underlying feelings and is trying to gently push them together. No real outrage at not being able to contact them just 'What happened?' and then the 'I see you are fighting, go fix it.'
