Considering what we saw of Gaew, I would not put it beyond him. However plots being what they are I doubt the accusation will turn out to be true.

Interesting theory. My theory: it was a bunch of horny fujoshi who wanted to give an excuse for red flag behavior. I've seen some interesting questions explored through this universes fiction. Things like: how much does gender affect abilities/aptitudes and where/what is acceptable to blame on hormonal fluctuations.

I gave this a try because I had nothing else to do. was planning to skip it because I've seen enough period pieces lately and I hate the social dynamics of this time period but as soon as I saw the dad I was invested I've seen him in two other wildly different roles. He is a fantastic actor

If the plots is not something you enjoy... skip it. I tend to enjoy these Cinderella-esk plots and this one was just meh for me.

I think it was kind of brilliant how we ended up mourning that loss with them.

That's the second time a Japanese show has wrecked me with that diagnosis... at least the other one warned me this one managed to blindsided me with it. Excellent framing and story telling.

The slower more philosophical ones are almost always rated lower then the exciting fluffy ones. not as many people enjoy them even when they are better put together then the rom-coms 🤷‍♀️

I am enjoying the show. I love the puppy pursuing cat dynamic. The past couple episodes though.... it's been more like we are watching someone trying to process their own past by writing a wish fulfillment story. Please do not copy Duang if someone trusts you with their childhood trauma.

Maybe it's a language difference or bad translation but I did not like the 'let go of your younger selfs hand and hold mine' bit. that struck me as an extremely bad way to handle past trauma. It would be better to say something more like 'let me help heal that wound' or 'I'll hold you anytime you need'... You do not dismiss a child's pain even if it has been years since the cause! 😡

Tharntype was produced after love by chance but is timeline-wise a prequel. Neither contains spoilers for the other, so it doesn't really matter which you watch first. Tharntype was my first BL and it wasn't until well after I had seen both that I realized they had some of the same characters. There are a couple comments you will understand better in LBC if you watch tharntype first. Be prepared for a few red flags in main characters from any series written/produced by Mame (this world is one of hers). And yeah they are now producing more shows then I can keep up with. Welcome to the ships 😊 we are all a little crazy here.
