Cute typical young man/older woman drama!

Decided to watch this because of Dylan Wang! This drama is your typical young man/older woman romance drama, which isn't anything new or special. I wasn't sure about the chemistry between Dylan and the female lead, however, they actually had good chemistry than I thought.

The drama was a very slow development leading up to their relationship. They legit didn't get together until like less than 10 episodes left of the drama. I honestly don't think the drama had to be dragged out that long. But a lot of the sub-storylines such as Ruo Xin's best friend's marriage life and Qi Xiao's best friends' relationship took up a lot of screentime. Especially Ruo Xin's best friend, who struggled with her marriage with her husband due to different opinions about wanting children, had A LOT of VERY repetitive scenes where just argue about the same thing about children. I had to skip a few scenes of theirs bc it just became very repetitive. This was one of the biggest cons of this drama that made me drop my rating by a lot due to how they dragged out that storyline was when not necessary.

The chemistry between Ruo Xin and Qi Xiao was not bad. I admired how Qi Xiao was very mature for his young age and was able to support and take care of Ruo Xin who is 12 years older than him. This drama sent out a good message about the norms of big age-difference relationships between a young man/older woman and how it's not always the man that has to be older to provide for the woman. It showed realistic obstacles of how many people view these type of relationships in society and how they see it as unacceptable or embarrassing when really it's not. Young man/older woman relationships is not something to be ashamed or worry about because it's just like any type of romantic relationship. As long as you both are serious and love each other, that's all it matters. This drama breaks those norms about relationships and how it should be accepted in a society which I think is one of the pros of this drama.

There were two love triangles that occurred throughout the drama. However, they didn't really last long which is what I was quite disappointed about. But I guess the love triangle isn't really supposed to be a big storyline in the drama since it mainly revolved around Ruo Xin and Qi Xiao's slow development from employees to lovers. But I love love triangles so it's only just a preference.

Overall, it was a good drama. But I don't think I'd rewatch this again due to how long and dragged it is and having to watch the many repetitive scenes that are not even necessary.
