This is not a romcom where the male lead saves the female lead with 30 different camera angles and slow mo effects…
i got to admit the brave decision they made. To choose this kind of character as a protagonist.
In real life, many people would skip to understand this kind of person, they may label him as red flag.
I've been in episode04 (05 rn), and more layers been revealed why he behave like that.
Still related to that Eun-A's crash scene: Is he not emotionally intelligent?
Because common people reaction will get Eun-A out of the crash site, they'll ask if she is okay etc. I know Dong Man is lack of empathy when she met Eun-A. Empathy is something we develop from experience, while emotional intelligent is by birth.
Is he not really inteligence emotionally to begin with?
Other than his group, i think he have no other friends. His lack of empathy prevent him to have friends, or he lack of friends prevent him to develop empathy?
Two persons have advised him to get in relationship, so he can develop his empathy?
This is not a romcom where the male lead saves the female lead with 30 different camera angles and slow mo effects…
1). I don't understand him because he is not normal to me. His action isn't like any common people.
2.) i didn't understand his reaction in that car crash. It'll helpfull if Leyah (or you) explain your understanding, why he acted like that rather than explaining "it's not romcom", or that "I shouldn't watch it."
Im not expecting butterfly scene.
I don't understand him.
Many times Dong Man is annoying and disrescpetfull towards his friends whom genuinely going through their emotion.
Dong Man is really pain to watch. There is always that one friend in our circle.
at ep03, He witnessing Eun-A almost got in a car accident. And his reaction didnt help her or ask her if she okay, He is self-centered, walk away happily left her alone while she is still in the crash site.
I don't think HL want to divorce her husband, it was more like a warning to his co-writer. She is still trying…
i won't call her actions as rude, she is strict, firm, and to the point.
i remember she told her husband at episode 2. Her husband being a director (success one?) have that feeling of inferior towards Dong Man whom never have debuted his movie.
She told her husband, that he is the same level as Dong Man, their only different is that Dong Man never have debuted as a director. Godd, she is cool.
She is logical, icy, no bs sweet words, but she is totally right.
There is a lot of context missing, people are just not too happy about a kdrama with a younger woman taking care…
well, im a male, and i don't really like loser type protagonist in a drama. Its like romanticizing incapabilities. But well written character are still well written character, it just my preference.
i avoided gloomy drama like My Liberation Notes, not totally avoid but just to shelve it until i have the right mood to watch that one.
This drama have that similar mood at the beginning, but it have some cheerfull moments. Well i just watched 2 first episodes.
My question is : 1. Is this gonna be gloomy? or it get brighter? 2. I didn't get Dong Man's speech to Mr. Choi at the end of episode 2. I know Dong Man's gesture is he finally stand for himself. But his words aren't really inspiring, i didn't know if this translation error, or i really failed to translate him. I read it as Dong Man embrace his own incapability?
3. Why Eun-A attracted to Dong Man? defend him infront of every one, and felt happy when Dong Man scolded mr. Choi at the end of episode 2?
wait so did I miss something or do we never find out who the male dead body(the bones) belongs to? so if was just…
probably just another random person unrelated with Sarah's case. i totally forgot if they mention when is his dead, since they mentioned it's a male, i ignore the rest.
The problem with this is that there is no concrete evidence no substantial evidence, everything is peoples' testimonies…
no, director of Nox have confronted her in police station. Director of Nox know her as Sarah Kim. She can be testified that she know her name as Sarah Kim or Kim Mi Jeong.
Boss of the thugs also can be testified.
and her employees in Boudoir whom interacted with her almost everyday can be testified to gave the name, is she known as Sarah Kim or Kim Mi Jeong. Her employees are the weakest among all characters, it'll easier to pressure them to get their testimonies.
if they all said that her name is Sarah Kim, there is still long way to prove Sarah Kim's lie. But it'll prove her lie.
True that police will have a hard time to prove her murder action as Sarah Kim. But it will also hard to prove her as innocent, since she confess killing a Jane Doe that later she claimed as "Sarah Kim".
The murder was happened, they got suspect that confess her murder act. Police need to find more evidences.
When she declared herself as Kim Mi Jeong, there are no concrete evidence that she is Kim Mi Jeong. No legal paper, no id card, unknown nationality, totally unregistered person, no one can confirm that she is Kim Mi Jeong. But later, she as Kim Mi Jeong convicted guilty anyway.
So, it break your theory, that her identity matters. No it's not.
Based on series logic, she can be convicted guilty as Sarah Kim or Kim Mi Jeong. Both name have no legal identity anyway.
The problem with this is that there is no concrete evidence no substantial evidence, everything is peoples' testimonies…
no. in murder case, if she convicted guilty as Kim Mi Jeong, she could be convicted guilty as Sarah Kim.
Whoever she declare her name, she confessed of murdering someone. The name of murderer and the victim doesn't really matter, because with or without name the murder was happened, and the murderer confessed her action.
As Sarah Kim, her action that result the death of another person, can be considered as self defense. As Kim Mi Jeong she confessed that before the confrontation, she have no intention to kill Sarah.
True there is no concrete evidence. Whoever her name is, police have little evidence that she is the murderer. Her confession alone probably considered as weak evidence in court. But in the end they can put her as Kim Mi Jeong in jail.
They could be to do the same to her as Sarah Kim.
As for Sarah Kim, police have some ways to prove her as Sarah Kim. Even without concrete legal identity, they can confront her with people she have interacted with. It'll open many doors to her past identities.
Hold up, murder and scam are different things. If they can't jail her for the murder, why can't they jail her…
yes there are multiple cases happened.
Sarah Kim as Kim Mi Jeong convicted guilty for murder case.
as for the scam, there are no victims, so there are no scam. the victim of scam should be felt as a victim then report it, but since there are no one, nobody make the report.
and as for scam itself, there are two possible scams :
1) investment scam, involving Sarah Kim, and director of Nox. in this case, director of Nox didn't report her case, so on paper there is no scam.
2) Boudoir brand. the brand is not fake, the product is not fake, but the history of the brand is. Thus it can be considered as storytale to elevate the brand, a way to promote it, a way of marketing.
Once they prove that the body isn't Sarah Kim (or that she is Sarah Kim), her confession to murdering Sarah Kim…
that what i think gonna be a plot hole.
1) there are some people whom met with Sarah Kim, they can be testified to prove Eun Jae as Sarah Kim. Some people have interacted with Eun Jae as Sarah Kim, like director of Nox, the paid gangsters, and some Sarah Kim's employees.
2) Sarah Kim as Kim Mi Jeong have confessed of murder, whoever her victim is. If she convicted guilty as Kim Mi Jeong, she could be guilty as Sarah Kim.
She is in prison because of murder case anyway, with only evidence is her confession (although her confession is the murder of Sarah Kim).
So, doesnt matter who is the victim of the murder is, it can be declared as unregistered citizen, or person without legal name. The murder were happened, with or without name.
as for DNA, the police can still obtain DNA sample from loan shark boss. It maybe can't prove her as Sarah Kim, but can be an evidence of Eun Jae and the loan shark connection. Further it can be use to track her another fake identities.

Feel free to spoil me,
and thank you in advance.
her face looks older? or deformed? or is it the make up?
Yoona whom is older look more fresh than Han So-Hee.
Other than his group, i think he have no other friends. His lack of empathy prevent him to have friends, or he lack of friends prevent him to develop empathy?
Two persons have advised him to get in relationship, so he can develop his empathy?

he is not normal, and so far its painfull to watch.
There is always that one friend in our circle.

so Eun-A is the "giver" type in relationship?
i guess she just recently broke up with her boyfriend before she look more into Dong Man, guessing by that granny whom have her bring extra lunch.
okay, okay, seems the answer is i have to watch it.
it just too gloomy. But thank you.
This drama have that similar mood at the beginning, but it have some cheerfull moments. Well i just watched 2 first episodes.
