Just realized I subscribed premium VIP which gives me slightly earlier access to the final episodes compared to…
Thanks! I only watch using one device, hence did not see the need for the premium. Today when I checked the drama page I saw that "express" fee thing. I normally wait for the drama to end because I like to binge watch.
I was going to start watching but saw that iQiyi is charging some extra for VIP members to watch the final episodes. Apparently only the super VIP have access to all. This is ridiculous. Does iQiyi drop that extra fee after a while or it stays? If so I might have to reconsider watching it and even if I keep the VIP membership.
OMG The soundtrack! It was an interesting choice, especially credit tracks. Seems out of place for the time period…
That soundtrack is sometimes creepy. The background story behind the crimes was bloody and also on the creepy side. However, there have been other similar style series where the music did not try to raise our hair. Definitely not something we play in the car audio while driving. 😂
This drama is a masterpiece. 73 episodes might seem long but they pass in a heartbeat. The production, script, acting, direction, soundtrack and photography are simply perfect. It's really difficult to find more like this one. Just to give an idea, I caught myself watching again in the middle of some newer ones that, despite shorter, were simply a drag and I had to take a break. It's very underrated. Should be at least a 9.5.
The story's concept was good. However, the execution lacked. It ended up a childish drama. It probably gets good acceptance among the (very) young audience. Some of the characters' behavior was really difficult to swallow.
This is a good drama. It is a patchwork of detective stories, archaeology, zombies, and typical power strugles combined in ancient China. Had a bit too much of retrospect scenes, which for me tends to downrate the drama. Also, some cases dragged a bit too long. However, the acting in general was good and the production meticulous and of good quality. In general the episodes were very entertaining and a great binge watch, which makes me add points. The soundtrack is very weird. So, all in all, I recommend it.
She looks beautiful. If you watch the drama, she changes her makeup according the scenes. She does her makeup…
I'm planning to watch just because of her. However, she does look different. I feel like she lost that shiny look that was very characteristic of her. She's a great actress, so a new look should not impair her.
Agree. I did not recognize her at first. The new look feels more like a plastic surgery combined with the health issues. Whatever it was, she really changed.
This one is in my list. I'm finishing The Wanted Detective now. I like binge watching, so I always wait until the final episode airs before starting a new series. At the rate of only two new episodes/day, I'll probably watch something else before starting this one. Li Qin looks great as usual.
I saw the preview on iQiyi and looks very good. What does the "reserve" button mean? I saw an option to reserve it but did not see what it means. Is it some kind of guarantee that we are interested in watching it?
If we filter the blatant propaganda, this is a great drama. Again, filtering the propaganda, it gives some great views of the Chinese society's struggles over time. I had just finished This Thriving Land and decided to watch this one. It provides a nice continuation of the TTL's pre-war, war times until this day.
The acting is top notch and so the production. It was great to see ZLS before she had this health/career issues and hope that she comes around.
I also liked that the story draws attention to the current global plague of Internet scammers and other scum and gives some points on how to avoid it. Not so good as Are You Safe? but still good.
So, for who likes China and its culture, it's a nice watch (filtering the propaganda).
I put a link (I'm in US, too), but it must have gotten taken down. I'll post it again, but in spoiler.
Thanks! They fixed it. Now I can see the preview video in the Episodes tab. Before ot was giving the error message about the region. I guess they were still updating their servers.
I'm in the US and I've got it. Here's the link. Hope this will work for you. https://www.iq.com/album/fated-hearts-2025-d6iyehcx4p?lang=en_us
I guess they fixed it. I just went back there and now can watch the video in the Episodes tab. Before, only the Highlights was working. The Preview was showing the "video not available in your region" message.
I'm in the US also, but I don't see any "not available" signs on my IQIYI subscription! I was able to…
Thanks! Interesting. I'm not using any VPN, just the PC's browser. Like you said, we'll see tomorrow. I liked her in Joy of Life, even though her character wasn't one of the most important.
I'm looking forward to it, but iQiyi is saying "not available in your region" (I'm in the US). I hope this will not be another fiasco like the Moonlit Reunion. Does anyone know of any regional deals or limitations?
I'm in the US and iQiyi is saying "not available in your region" instead of that it will start on the 2nd. Will this be another boomer like the Moonlit Reunion launch?
