Ugh, I can't stand Mitsuru's character, that part at the end of the episode 6 where he blames Sakiko and Sonoda about their relationship being similar to his relationship with Azusa in the fact that it could be perceived as an affair, is such an unfair comparison, because Sakiko and Sonoda's bond grew because they were left alone, Sonoda is a widower, his wife is dead because she decided to follow Mitsuru and Sakiko is a woman who has been ABANDONED by her husband, why doesn't she have the right to develop a relationship with another man? it's been a year for god's sake, she even thought the husband was dead at one point, and then she discovered he was just missing, so she wouldn't have been able to divorce either because the man is alive.

Does he expect she was going to wait for him forever until he decided to come back someday? the nerve! comparing their relationship to his relationship with Asuza is very unfair, their secret relationship was born when both of them were SUPPOSED to be in good terms with their spouses and they kept it a secret from them, the circumstances are EXTREMELY different. So that comparison really got in my nerves, Sonoda please punch him for me, or I'll end up punching my TV screen xDDDD. I saw some clips of ep 7 where Mitsuru is all flustered because he thought Sakiko had left, and she tells him that a guy who has disappeared for a year has no right to worry about her in that manner, ohhh that hit the spot, so satisfying, I need to watch that episode immediately XD I don't know if I'll be able to wait until Friday when it hits Viki.. I might end up watching raw in Tver or something cause I'm anxious xD hahaha

hahaha at the end of the episode, I was like "oh, the trash arrived, good timing, please get into this trash bag too thanks" xD

he DEFINITELY cooked, I have so many questions after ep 6.. omg... the wait is going to be insane, I need to understand WHY MC did what he did to his own memories hahaha, it feels like Tsumura is the hero resolving the case and discovering all the clues, and the MC/Ninomiya is like the real villain here, this is such a great twist

what is your native language? mine isn't English either, my native language is Spanish. I think younger people tend to watch more Korean drama because it has been easy to find in places like Netflix and such, and they don't want to bother with Japanese drama specially if it's not available in official platforms. For people like me it's different, I've been watching Jdrama since the 90s, and main reason was to practice Japanese but these dorama are so good that I've continued for decades lol, so I've never been interested in watching drama from other countries xD plus, with the amount of dorama I have in "Plan to watch" category, there's no time either xD

My thoughts exactly! and I also had the theory about him being a clone, because the setting kind of reminded me a bit of this older dorama "Watashi wo Hanasanaide" but in the end another theory ruled out xD and yes, I'm looking forward to the next episode to learn more Mayumi and how does this "program" work exactly, do they offer to the prisoners and they do it voluntarily, or is it forced on them? since their memories were wipe, we don't know the circumstances of why they are part of this experiment, and we still need to know the purpose! :-D

me too! I love it! one of my favorite this season, I want to know WHY they are making these experiments on prisoners?? I mean, that's what it looks like, but I'm not 100% sure haha I love that it's making me think about theories since first episode xD first I thought maybe this is like matrix and they are living some kind of parallel life or in a simulation? but now after watching ep 4 it's definitely about experiments with fake memories from dead people being implanted on prisoners maybe? (since the Ozaki guy is dead and Igawa had his memories implanted) and for what purpose the secret organization is doing this? haha :-D so many questions, I'm on the edge as well haha

I completely agree, I was completely absorbed in the story, couldn't stop watching until I finished in just a few days. Each episode hit so hard with such attention to detail in every scene, Toda Erika's acting is impeccable and the supporting cast did an amazing job too, and as you mentioned, the production is extremely high quality, I'm very happy we got to see this masterpiece.

me too, it was such a great episode, and I didn't see that twist coming that soon.. I thought they would spend longer time looking for the boy, but I guess the 2nd part of the show will focus on Luna's story perhaps.

Omg, I love this, the first episode was amazing <3 as always, Haru never disappoints ^_^ I loved the combination of slice of life, mystery and police investigation lol

I think Ayumi doesn't love Katsuo anymore, not in a romantically way at least, and probably never did since she was also lying to herself, even if she never said that, I think it's implied that she has other interests in life. Throughout the series, the only one who wanted to go back to the relationship was Katsuo, it was never Ayumi's initiative, she did feel threatened when she saw the risk of losing Katsuo (he getting a new gf etc.) and this is the normal because of how dysfunctional their relationship was, she was completely restraining herself.

I also felt very sad when Ayumi reacted the way she did when Katsuo was just trying to help her with calculations and stuff, because he didn't do it with a bad intention, and if THERE was love, she could have simply told him that she wanted to do this on her own and to please not meddle, and he would have been fine with it, but she was super uncomfortable like he had done something unforgivable.. at this point, I know she just doesn't love him anymore, and I agree the best path for both of them is to go on with their lives and find new loves and new partners, starting from zero, without old baggage and grudges that never fade away even if you become a different person, the fact that it happened, will always remain.
