Global recognition actually is not what they aspire. A successful Chinese drama should do well first in their…
I see but i'm talking more from a fans perspective rather than the industry needing "recognition" i should've phrased it better, just being more involved because i'm not sure i can use weibo 🥲
I also understand China has different social media, but i wish they could use the same ones as us, the actor's talent should be recognized worldwide because there are so many incredible dramas that are insanely gorgeous, so detailed, like Ruyi Royal Love in the Palace, lost you forever etc even the promo's for the shows. I had no idea china even made dramas till 2023 when i accidently stumbled on love like the galaxy on youtube and liked the castle so i decided to watch a clip, then one edit which had thousands of comments which means people liked the show but it was 56 episodes which i am not used to, i watched it just for fun and i've rewacthed that show 3 time i love it so much!
I've been watching LYN (Male Lead) in dramas since My Journey to Love (which i didn't think i would like and ended up binging, i didn't know he was a singer at the time i thought he was just a regular actor, but i'm sad to ehar that there are people who regularly hate on him and don't consider his talents. When he's such a funny and talented guy, I HOPE HE GETS ALL THE LOVE HE DESERVES AFTER THIS, because what else can we ask of him in a performance??? This was 10/10, and I'm so happy it didn't get shelved. I hope we all continue to support the leads, and this performance solidifies him in people's hearts. I hope the show can get on NETFLIX worldwide.
And even though he loves manman, he always smiles whenever he sees she's happy with wei shao🥲i don't understand…
If we aren't able to tolerate and understand characters like this then dramas are going to start being the exact same thing with same people without any layers or complexity and nothing of quality
And even though he loves manman, he always smiles whenever he sees she's happy with wei shao🥲i don't understand…
I agree with everything you said, Wei Yan is a hard character to play if people aren't aware and the actor has done great justice to him, (he's been in multiple great shows so seeing him i knew he was going to be incredible) unrequited love is so painful but it's not his fault, i also belive people hate him because of the novel and what he does with the painting. I feel sooo bad for him, he always looks like he's on his best behaviour these days. he need his family
i've only seen another work of liu duan duan -the rebel princess- and there he also played a layered character.…
I thought his performance in Joy of Life was so well done, he was really good at delivery his lines. even this performance as Wei Yan i don't think just anyone could pull off, he's not just layered but also blurs the line between masculinity and femininity, there's something so intresting about him and the way the actor presents him
i was waiting for him to call her manman like Ling Buyi calling shao sheng Niao Niao but this exceeded my expectations, he said it so softly.... aaaaahhhhhhhhhh I'm cheesing so hardddddd
This is my first Kang Ha Neul drama, but I really appreciated his range even before this. Kang Ha Neul is a best actor winner at the Baeksang awards too
