This drama was so good. I've read many reviews saying either the first half or the second half was better and the rest was kinda crap but I just can't agree. I tried to search the flaws in this drama so hard but I couldn't find any. I guess everyone has a different type, that's why I'll try to be as objective as possible now. I don't know if this will be your opinion, but give it a try!
When I first started this drama I was very torn whether to continue or drop this drama. Yes I'm speaking the truth even though my rating might make me look like a liar. Halfway through the first episode I asked myself if I shouldn't watch a drama of which I am sure that I will like it. In the end I watched two episodes of this drama and I don't regret it. In my opinion, that's when the drama started to climb the hill, slowly but surely. (I started to like it after 3rd/4th episode)
First of all, the story: Since you should've read the plot summary already I won't talk as much around the bush as I just did. It's a fantasy story which can be liked even if fantasy usually isn't your type. Because I speak from experience, I just can't stand fantasy because it makes a story so hard to feel realistic, but this oh this drama felt so real. The plot twists were what I liked the most. When you think the situation finally calmed down another event takes place and it's just entertaining to watch this story. Many people said something about fillers and I do agree, but to be honest those fillers were what made the story even better. Otherwise it would've been a short dramatic ride.
The cast did one amazing job! Because this is a fantasy show I had a hard time to get used to the characters but the cast's acting made it really easy! They acted so natural, as if it's the most normal thing to happen that you talk to a god and the next second to a demon or whatever. All, and when I am saying all I mean all roles were played well. Even the most unnecessary ones. And the characters lived through a development that every drama wishes to have. The people from the first/second episode had nothing in common with the ones in the last. I mean, they were both perfect but it was just fascinating how good and realistic the character development was made. And not to mention the chemistry between the main leads. I loved every relationship there was. But Son Oh Gong and Jin Seon Mi aka Sam Jang were really really well played. Both were extremely hard roles but pulled off by pros!
Next is the music. The OSTs are reason enough to watch this drama, I'm not kidding. Every single OST made my heart melt like I don't even know what. I can't find a better word as perfection to describe them. And they also fitted every situation very well. Not only OSTs but also random background melodies were so well produced and fitted perfectly.
All in all this drama was a ride of emotions, it could break your heart in one second but the very next you had to pause the episode because you can't stop laughing.

Maybe this review is so much better than others because I expected nothing from this drama. But maybe you just look into it and find out for yourself if it is wort it. But however you decision might look like, in my opinion it is a must-watch drama. Even though some people didn't like it I'm sure they still were glad that they watched it. But please don't judge the drama by not having seen everything! I was about to drop this drama after about 40 minutes and now look at my ratings.
I hope you will watch this and most important enjoy it at least as much as I did!
Whatever your choice is, have fun!

This is my first review so I hope it won't be too bad. I also am pretty late because I watched this drama almost 1 1/2 years after it aired but I still hope someone needs this review.
The story of UF is mind blowing in my opinion. And obviously it's an emotional rollercoast. If you aren't a fan of suffering during a drama and you don't like melodrama in general you definitely shouldn't watch this. Also, if you want a love story with fluff and some tears and lots of - well - love, that's not what UF is. It is a real story in my opinion everything about this story feels real. It's not a story in which a man falls in love with a woman and tries to do everything to be with her.
You get to see the main character played by Kim Woo Bin who describes himself as a jerk and a female lead played by Suzy who calls herself crazy. Both played their roles very good, the whole cast was amazing. I got annoyed by characters, I cheered for characters and I also hated some characters, which I think is important in any drama.
You already get to see what this drama will be about in the first episode and what continues frustrated me but also excited me, like I said before it was a rollercoast of emotions. Since I want to help people with their decision of wether to watch this drama or not I am going to be very honest: There was a point in the drama when I was so done I wanted to drop it. Not gonna lie. And I am so happy I didn't. Personally I liked the first half of the drama more, but the second half was also very amazing because I couldn't understand the main character for a long while until I realised that it should be this way. During this drama you should ask yourself is he out of his mind and the answer is yes he is but that's what made this drama so good. I had a constant love-hate-relationship with the main character and with the story but because of the ending I decided it was more of a love relationship.
To sum it up if you don't like a plot in which it doesn't go your way and in which you hope for the best outcome this drama isn't something for you. If you look for a drama that touches your heart and that makes you think about life and is realistic and not a beautiful love story then this drama is for you and you shouldn't be reading this but already watching the first episode.
I also want to say something about the AMAZING OST'S in this drama. The ost made everything perfect and I couldn't help but sing along while my eyes were in tears because they were just perfect. If I have to name the best thing about this drama it definitely is the music.
I hope this review was helpful. Have a lot of fun watching UF and some tissues near you because if you aren't a heartless person you'll definitely need them.

Well... I don't even know where to start...
First of all I am pretty late with this review given the fact when this drama got released whoops, but I don't really care since I need to get this off my chest. Anyone who is interested can read it.
This KDrama was my first medical drama hooray and a very good one I have to say! The medical stuff definitely won't disappoint you in this drama! It was good, everything was so well explained and I had hope with every surgery, feared about the patient's life and of course was sad when something unexpected happened. SO if you love medical dramas this is a must and if you haven't watched any other medical drama before -just like me - it's actually also a must watch because wow. (side note: there was way more blood then I thought there would be though)
The main story was amazing. Just wow. My favorite episodes: 1&2! I kept watching this drama and always had to think about the first episodes. That's when the story started that's when you thought: Wow, how can they even make this end well? I can't state if they did end it well even though I've just watched the last episode I'm really unsure what to think about it. I read many reviews saying this drama had a good start but failed in the middle and I have to say I agree. The first episodes were just wow. And as the story continues I was curious all the time because holy shit there were so many plot twists. That's what made this drama extremely good but sadly... some of those went to the wrong direction and the last episode for example was nothing like the first. It's a sad turn indeed but in my opinion not reason enough not to watch this drama.
As the storyline continues we get to know the characters better or not better? With every decision that was made by the characters I began questioning if I judged them right in the first place. And also, I don't know if I'm just pretty stupid but sometimes it was hard to tell who were the 'good' guys because like I said the characters actions always ended up differently and they had such a depth which was amazing. I'm only talking about the 4 main actors now but actually every single character lived through such a development it's amazing. Just for the character depth I am going to say: watch this drama.
Actually I feel like I am praising this drama WAY too much but here's the point: The cast did such a freaking good job. No wonder there was such a depth. I'm amazed cause sometimes I just couldn't understand why any person would act the way they did and it made me furious but happy at the same time. How was it even possible to act such deep characters? I don't know, but it happened.
Next point, the OSTs. Well damn the situations were already critical enough no need for background music but obviously it did a very good job with making me even more nervous or even more sad which I thought wasn't possible anymore.
Now my negative points: even though the start was very good and the plot twists were exciting too... it got unrealistic towards the end. Very unrealistic. This made me so sad because I enjoyed how it started but the end was nothing like the start.
And let me say something to the romance freaks as well: first of all I AM ONE myself that's why I think I can kinda judge this aspect. It was... twisting. Honestly you would know the main pairings in the beginning... or not? Maybe he isn't going to end up with his first love? No way, of course he will, that's what all kdramas do... wait he really isn't going to end up with her but with the other girl, isn't he? Those were my questions through the whole show and to be very honest until the last episode I had hope for my pairing but sadly I kind of was the second female lead. I obviously won't tell you with whom I hoped 'Doctor Stranger' will end up but it was really interesting to watch how the tables were turned over and over again.

All in all: I'd really recommend this drama IF you love medical and romance but be aware this won't end up as you wish. I think I can speak for pretty many people that the ending was just disappointing. But all other aspects were reason enough to keep going and my biggest motivation to watch this drama was 1. the patients and 2. I wanted to know who the main pairings were because damn I lost some hair because of the romance in the drama. The story started so good and alone the start is reason enough to watch this drama. That's just my opinion though.

I literally finished this Kdrama one minute ago and I'm here to tell everyone to drop everything what you are doing this moment and watch this drama! You won't regret it.

I start with the storyline. This isn't the story of a cute couple who falls in love with each other and ends up never leaving one another. This is the story of a couple not wanting to be a couple anymore. You probably heard of the cliche that every good romance movie/series/drama ends with marriage or having a child or just ending up together. And this is exactly what this drama critizises. Who said life will be beautiful and without hardships after marriage? Guys, this drama is about reality (obviously not because it's called "Go back couple" and you should know that you can't go back in time). This drama tells a story about regrets and youth but at the same time about hurtful but beautiful memories and adulthood.

Okay enough with the sweet talk. You want something to laugh? Watch this drama. You love references to other dramas? Watch this drama. You don't want the typical story of falling in love but rather learning to love again? Watch this drama. You want to cry your soul out of your eyes? Watch this drama.
I hope that were enough reasons and if not watch this drama and tell me more because I honestly don't see a reason to not watch this drama.
Enough about the plot and what this is about because you should have already read the story summary.

The story is about youth and adulthood at the same time and the cast still did such an amazing job! Nearly every role was present in past and future and every single character in this drama looked so natural. Even though it kind of seemed like they didn't age (obviously) they had complete different personalities but still so much in common with their past self. Maybe this doesn't make sense at the moment but you will realize it as soon as you watch it (why are you still here anyway? Go watch it!).

Okay don't let me start with the OSTs. My poor poor heart. Why would someone be this cruel? I had enough reason to cry because of the sad reasons every character acted the way he did but no, destroy my heart with the sad soundtracks why not. Anyway if you're not new in the kdrama world there will be some OSTs that will remind you of something ;)
To sum this all up I'm going to say one last thing: the first half of this drama was funny and enjoyable with cute and heartbreaking moments, but the second half oh lets not talk about that. That was just hurtful. I've never seen more realistic choices of fictional characters then in this drama. Everything made sense and because it was this realistic it made me realise that realitiy is cruel. The world we live in is cruel. That's what this drama is about. Beautiful life? Not exactly, more like painful reality smashed infront of your salad.
Please watch this drama, you won't regret it because this tells a real story.
And if you still don't see why you should watch this one last but most important reason: There is this super cute baby that is literally the reason for all pain and for all happiness that exists in this world. That child is reason enough to watch this drama.
Now go!
