I’d rather he has less screen time in a quality production than more time in a nonsensical production. The story…
the thing that actually grabbed my attention in this drama was the quality of the story. I am not used to watching criminal cdramas where the police reasoning makes sense. If someone told me that 800 was a kdrama I wouldn't find it strange and I think that is a HUGE compliment.
I can easily see this becoming one of xu kai's best dramas if it keeps the same quality throughout the entire drama. Just hope it gets the love it deserves if it happens.
I was checking mdl Honestly, this drama having a rating of 8.8 shows how much people here don't care about the plot of the dramas and just want to rate the dramas with their favorite actors as high as possible.
plot wise this is a 2 out of 10 at most.
Everybody is interested in the ml because they think he obtained spirit veins because he took a super rare medicine. However, if he took the medicine as they think then he shouldn't have any left over medicine to be stolen! So people shouldn't be trying to steal something he shouldn't have.
There is 0 reasons for him not to have taken the medicine he needs to survive ages ago. he just keeps it super hidden in a place nobody ever has access to. If he had taken it nobody would know (everybody thinks he actually took it).
The fl sleeps with the ml, breaks his heart telling how much she has lied to him, leaves and in the next ep the ml has forgiven her and is pinning for her for no reason. just because dramas now must have 40 eps is no reason to ignore redemption arcs. Imagine ashes of love if the ml had just forgiven the fl in 1 ep...
This is my first drama w Deng Enxi, I think I will definitely check out some more of works. She actually really…
I think most people don't realize how many dramas he has participated in and how many really different characters he has played. And I really don't see who from his age group can have a similar amount of experience as xu kai. The guy must have worked on more than 2 big dramas on average per year for 6 or 7 years.
I'm curious, what crime cdramas have you seen? I haven't found a good 2026 crime drama but there's been quite…
In the last years I have tried to watch 2 or 3 chinese crime dramas that have cool posters and an interesting synopsis (no idea about their names) And after 10 mins of the first ep I have dropped them all because the way of thinking of the police is ridiculous and completely unbelievable.
Here despite some silly things like mass drug tests and using flu medicine as front the way the characters behave and think makes sense
taking into account that chinese crime dramas tend to be really bad this was a nice surprise. If we excuse some silly things it is almost at the level of a kdrama of the genre which is pretty good.
It is a marrigae of convenience but yes she does act like dead wait at times. They do care for each other but…
but that is the great flaw I was talking about. If they are in a marriage of convenience then the wife can't be a dead weight that is usually the source of problems.
In the last ep for ex, she finds out that there are going to be problems and decides to suicide with a drug overdose? And then is surprised that her husband needs to have someone following her... She is completely unreliable!
The husband is an over confident asshole, but you see him trying to find solutions for their problems that take into account the wife and her career all the time. And in 2 or 3 scenes we also see how miserable he is in their marriage. Even if she brought him fame at the beguining both of them of them would be much happier with a divorce.
I sincerely don't get who wrote this drama. The first half of the drama is superb, but for some reason they rush the story so that we have all the answers to the initial mysteries.
And then in the second part of the drama the pacing is awful. All the time and focus on the void is a huge waste of time that ruins the drama and breaks the great setup of the first half of the drama.
this drama is a bit exausting. we are always waiting for the next betrayal to come... besides that in every arc we have someone being really selfish and only thinking about what they want. It is very repetitive.
This drama fails completly on the wife side. She basically doesn't really care for her husband and at the same time is a blackhole of misery and problems. I could understand if they had a marriage of convinience and she pulled her weight or if they were in love. But their marriage isn't like that...
Basically the wife is an idol that for some reason everybody is atracted to. However she is a lesbian, hides a lot of secrets, has some traumas, is very self centered and until the last ep never takes the first step to solve the problems they face and is usually the root of the problems. As the ml hints that they are in a sexless marriage the biggest mistery of the drama is why they stay married
I haven't seen a drama like this in quite a while. It is basically people being miserable and in misunderstandings for the sake of being miserable and misunderstandings
I just watched the 1st ep this drama feels so bleak. Like is the 2 ml going to lie to the fl so that she stays with him and even use her? the ml is going to be used by the masked guy?
There is a good reason for his actions and he isn't pure evil.

and actually the list goes on and on

Lets see if it gets close to 28k.
I have the idea that the characters from hit dramas reach around 30 to 40k. am I right?
And after 10 mins of the first ep I have dropped them all because the way of thinking of the police is ridiculous and completely unbelievable.

the first 15 to 20 eps were amazing and then it became kind of boring with some exceptions once in a while.

Every antagonist in the several arc we have seen did this.
