The first season had a cozy, homey feel, and I really enjoyed the lovely work environment it portrayed. The cases were full of twists and turns, which kept me engaged. However, the second season fell flat for me. Shen Yiās character changed dramatically, and I didnāt like this new version of him as an artist/psychologist/scientist. He barely worked together with Captain Du, which was disappointing. I missed the old badass crime-fighting duoātheir dynamic was much more compelling.
There were several cases that could have been solved without Shen Yiās involvement, and it felt like the writers were forcing him into the storyline unnecessarily. Additionally, the show had been hyping up this seasonās villain since Season 1, but it didnāt pay off. For me, he was just another villainānothing memorable or standout. The 'painting under the painting' concept also felt forced and didnāt add much to the story.
Overall, the season was passable, but it didnāt capture the same magic as the first one. I wonāt be rewatching it like I did with Season 1.
Did you not see the trailer or read the plot? The entire plot of this show is getting the members back together…
Clearly, my interest in this show stems from reading the synopsis and watching the trailer, which intrigued me with its plot. My comment merely expressed a sense of familiarity with a recently watched show and what I personally wished had been explored further. Ultimately, the true depth of the series will unfold episode by episode, beyond the impressions formed from the synopsis and trailer alone.

The first couple of reviews will give you an idea. My take, it wasn't a badly written show. It's just that they were pimping out OffGun on the promotion and they were robbed. If you're hardcore OffGun fan, you'd definitely be disappointed. If you like a a good story where the side characters get the same screentime as the main couple, you probably don't mind a "hardly-there" BL.

What show? There's only 1 BL show that comes out on Friday and that's it. I can still continue to watch and freely express my opinion. You can either agree or disagree but It's not your place to tell others what they can and cannot do.
It's a bit early to call it...but it's beginning to look a lot like "The Trainee". The entire episode is about Thame and Jun...i can see that the rest of team members will follow the same. I'm not saying it's bad writing or anything but i wanna see some romance.
Maybe I missed it but where did they mention that? As far as I understand, The Dads are brothers and Jiashu's Dad divorced his mom before he died and the two families drifted apart because of the unfortunate incident centered around Jiahou when he was young.

That was my impression. They are blood related brothers. BL Censorship has nothing to do with the drama like some are talking about. It'd be wrong and sick for the production to merely suggesting anything other than pure brotherly love.
In The Opra Singer case, within less than two hour, how did Shen Yi went to Ge Yutian place, had a long chat, then traveled to crime scene together willingly and made 6 life-size props (ok, the props may have been there before but they don't need them to slove the case) and oh don't forget he gave himself a full mug, too? How? And, the girl in the bath tub totally tied up and submerged in water all this time and she's still alive?! The Po-Po knows the killer is reenacting the play and trying to fill in the last character and yet there's zero police presence at the crime scene. Why?
I just found out that the director and writers from Season 1 didnāt work on Season 2āand it shows. That said, itās not a complete disaster and is still watchable, in my humble opinion. However, I found myself less enthusiastic about it, and I wasnāt refreshing the page eagerly to check for new episodes.
As far as I'm aware, They're kinda-sorta into each other but not entirely. I feel like the romance is lacking. Doc asked the Captain out because he just wanna stop him from suspecting him and Cap moved in with the Doc because he still has the suspicion on Doc that he's the Angel of Mercy.
