I really wish they had invested more in SWL and GT's storyline. It's apparent that Ma Heng, an Alpha and a long-time admirer of GT, is not going to show up. Judging from how they've been given too little screen time the entire season and the subtitle from ep16, I'm afraid we're going to be unsatisfied with the wrap-up next week.

Only finished the first two episodes but I will say this...my butt was clenched the entirity of those two episodes. 🤣 can't remember the last time that intense.

Just know that a lot of sh!t gunna go down on Gao Tu's storyline this week.

We’re a little over halfway through, and I don’t find the series particularly bad (maybe my expectations were lower based on previous vampire series from gmm). As expected, the production quality isn’t the best. The fight scenes are really weak; I’ve seen more convincing ones even from GMM. I also don’t like how their separations and reunions (which happen a couple of times) basically their relationship feels too rushed. The emotional buildup and the suffering in between are too short, which lessens the overall impact. They are saying 'I wanna be with you forever' but I was not convinced....like they are saying empty words. And I'm not talking about their chemistry. Storytelling is weak.
